Te next week we spent alot of time with Ravi. Mostly we were over at Ambers after school, hanging at the pool. Ravi told us his parents are in a divorce fight and because he was sick of beeing pulled back and forth he moved to his cousins town.
I felt sad to hear that. My father left when I was little. I still have contact with him and see him once in a while. Since I can think my mom worked her ass of to give me and my sister a good life. The bad thing about that is she's almost gone all the time.
If we weren't at Ambers, we went to the park alot. Since it is summer we all wanted to see the sun as often as possible.
So now we were just lying on a blanket in the grass, all heads next to eachother, looking at the sky. "Why can't everyday be like that. No school... no homework. Just friends and fun.", I sighed. "Mhmm.. Agreed. We should just travle the world together.", Amber said. "I'm sorry to bust your bubble but that would be hell of expensive. But I agree. We should plan a vacation together someday.", Ravi said.
I looked at him from the side. His eyes were closed and he had a slight smile on his face. The sun was shimmering in his dark brown hair. My heart started to beat fast again.
I sighed and looked back up to the clouds. "What a great idea.", I said. "And you know what!? We should do this the up coming holidays.", Amber suddanly said. As a idea forms in her head she sits up. "We can ask Ken if he comes and then we can take the camper to drive to the sea!", she said clapping her hands in excitement.
Not to bad of an idea, I thought to myself. I turned to Ravi. His eyes were sparkeling. I think he likes it as well. "Amber... you are a angel! That is a great idea. Let's start planing. I gonna ask mom this evening." Ravi nods in agreement. "That means if everything works we'll be off in a month! Wohoo!", Amber screamed.
We quickly grabbed our stuff and went to Ambers to firstly ask Ken. We tell him what we were planing and as we hoped he agreed to be our driver. He was planning on driving up to the sea anyway. "Let me go home and see if my uncle agrees. I don't really need the agreement but it would be nice to ask him.", Ravi said and left.
Up in Ambers room we were still talking about our tour. All the things we need and where to go. "We still have a month to organize, you know.", I finally said to the still excited Amber. "Ok, ok. I guess that's enough of that for now. You're right.", she said laughing.
"I'm so happy Ravi said that. Maybe I have a chance to get closer to him when we're on vacation.", I said dreamy. Amber looked at me. "I hope so too. And I really hope he has the same feelings for you.", Amber said witha smile.
"I hope so too.", I said sighing. "But I gotta go now. Mom is probably home right now. I'll see you tomorrow!", I said after a look on the clock. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and went home.
Again mom was just about to leave when I arrived. "Hey hun.", she said and hugged me. "Hey mom. Quick question. Can I go on a trip with some friends this u coming holidays?", I asked. "I hoped we could spent some time together but my boss told me I have to work. I guess you go and have some fun, darling.", she said.
I felt bad. But sometimes I think she rather worked then spent time with her kids. We were old enough now and she could say no at work but... oh well.
"Thanks mom. See you tomorrow. Love ya.", I said. "Love you too darling. I'm off now.", she said and walked through the door.
Mom said it's ok. Let's start planing tomorrow at school. I texted Ravi and Amber befor going to bed.

Next day at school

Ravi and I discovered we almost had the same way to school. So now we always met at the corner near the bus stop. I woke up late this morning and to catch the bus in time I ran the way there. I was about to run around the corner when I ran into someone. And we both fell. Me on top of... Ravi.
Oh god!! Our faces were so close we almost kissed. I guess I didn't move because the shock when I realised Ravi smiling at me. "You're ok?", he asked. I just nod. "Ok then. We should get our bus.", Ravi said and tried to sit up. He probably thought I'd did the same but I still didn't move. Hello brain... you there?!
So now it happened. Because he sat up and I didn't move his lips touched my corner of my mouth. I guess that was when I jumped up in emberessment. I felt my face turn red. "Uhm... I'm sorry.", I stuttered.
He got up, still smiling. "You're fine. Could have happened anybody.", he said. He looked so relaxed. Like nothing happened. Ok I guess you can't say it was a kiss but a almost kiss. How can he stay so calm?!
"Our bus.", he said pointing to the arriving bus. We quickly ran up to it. The bus drive was akward. Well for me it was. He was talking about this and that freely while I was only able to nod. My thoughts still went crazy.
"That would be awesome, right?!", he just said. "....Sara? Did you hear what I said?", Ravi asked with a curious face. "What?", I said and looked up. "A campfire. A guitar. Great idea?", he repeated. "Oh. Yes. Great!", I said. He smiled at me and continued talking.
As we arrived at the school, after I told Ravi to go to class already, I ran to the girls bathroom and called Amber to come to me. She came all worred if something happened. I told her what happened and how Ravi reacted.
"Maybe he didn't realised...", she said weakly. "But I mean our lips touched. How can you not realise that. If he had feelings for me he wouldn't kept so calm, right?", I asked her. She thought for a while. "Well I think your right. But maybe he was just good at covering his thoughts... but you know all his acting got me thinking now... no. It can't be, right? He would have told us..", she said and mumbled the last bit.
"What? What would he have told us?", I asked her. "Well.. you knw his fashion sense and stuff.. have you ever seen his flirting with a girl at school by now?", Amber explained her thoughts. "Just tell me already. What do you mean?", I pushed her to the answer.
"Maybe he does not have any feelings for you because he is... gay?", she said.
"WHAT?"
