"WHAT?" I screamed and she hissed before retracting her hand. I fluttered my eyes several times and tried to calm myself down. I looked everywhere on the ground and then back at her with an open mouth.

"You are-"
"Shhh..." She shushed me by placing her index finger in front of her lips and looking around while here I am still trying to process everything.

"I would like you not to address me by my name loudly please." She said with her honey-like sweet voice and I looked at her.

"Y-You a-are J-Jin," I slapped my face harshly for stuttering and I heard her wince in pain while seeing my action. I looked back at her.

"You are Jin Ari?" I whispered and she nodded. And I think my fuse broke once again. How in the fucking hell?

She is my blind date? The daughter of a Mafia? My future wife if I say yes to my father? Wait! I just slapped myself in front of her!

I looked up at her and she looked at me worriedly. She probably thinks I am insane. Great job, Jungkook! Even if you say 'yes' to your dad she'll say 'no' to hers!

"Should we go to our seat first?" She asked and I exhaled deeply and nodded. I took her to our table and she sat on a chair while I took the opposite seat.

"Jungkook, right?" She asked and I nodded my head, still recovering from the shock.

"You are Jin Ari. Pomme, the genius writer." I said while interlocking my fingers and joining my hands.

"Yes, do you know me?" she asked calmly. "Of Course! I am your fan!" I blurted instantly, cursing under my breath and she jumped on her spot.

"Oh. You read webtoons?" she asked and I nodded my head before leaning forward.

"Ever since your debut webtoon, I have been a fan of your work, Pomme. I have started liking your works ever since you created 'The Villainess'. Then I read your webtoons like 'Hot blooded', 'Bad guys', 'Tomb of River', 'King of Prison', 'Killer and Healer', 'Night in Paradise' and all of them." I admitted eagerly.

Ari looked at me blankly before looking down, at the table. The waiter approached us to take the order.

I smiled at Pomme and took the menu card from the waiter. "Pomme, what would you like to eat?" I asked her sweetly.

She looked up at me and then at the menu card in my hands. My eyes widened in realization and I handed it to her. "I am sorry. Here choose something."

She kept her handbag on the tiled floor and extended her hand to take the menu from me. She looked through the menu and then at me. "Butterscotch or red velvet?"

My eyes grew big at her sudden question but then I blinked and answered. "I am fine with anything. I love both." I said and her lips curved up at my answer.

Oh my Gosh! Why does she look so adorable when she smiles?

She looked back at the menu while ordering. "One Butterscotch pastry and one red velvet pastry. For drinks . . ." She said and looked at me softly.

I smiled at her cuteness and extended my hand for the menu card. She handed me and I looked through it. "Caffeine?"

I looked up at her and she shook her head cutely. She is already making me feel comfortable around her. That's good because I am nervous as fuck!

"Lemon cider?" I looked up at her and she nodded before looking at the waiter. The waiter also smiled at her. I mean who wouldn't, to that sweet face.

"Okay, then. Two pastries and two lemon cider." The waiter said before taking the menu card and leaving us alone.

She is introverted, judging by the way she behaves. But her eyes are cold and arrogant.

She was looking out when I decided to break the silence. "So how many blind dates have you attended?"

She turned to face me. "This is my first one. Why do you read my webtoon? You are a mafia though." She said and I chuckled at her, feeling comfortable with her.

"During my breaks between tough training or while lying on the hospital beds during injuries after a mission, your webtoons became a wave of fresh air for me. In most of your webtoons, the main characters are strong yet positive in nature. Unlike other cold ruthless gangsters. After reading your webtoons, I decided to separate my private life and my work-life personality as well just like your characters. Your webtoons exude wholesome energies and survive through the rough patches of my life."

"I see. But it is rare for someone as powerful as you to like my webtoon." She stated calmly and I agreed with her. "It is but your webtoons remind me of something I am searching for as well," I said and she frowned at me.

"Searching? I don't understand what you are trying to say." She enunciated and I sat back on the chair, this 'blind date' becoming a comforting one.

"Your webtoons are filled with action, adventure, thriller, mystery, psychology, tragedy, crime, and noir but I can feel like in all of your works there is a hidden genre as well," I said and she silently listened to me.

"All the main characters are either in search of love or end up losing their love. There is not a single mention of love yet the main characters are always searching for something." I said and looked up at her blank eyes before continuing, "Something named 'love'." I completed and she looked away.

"You are the first one," she said after clearing her throat and staring at me arrogantly. "Are you talking about the blind date?" I questioned but she shook her head.

"First one who interpreted my webtoon this way. I have never heard something like that." She said and I nodded while pursing my lips.

"What is your hobby?" I asked her and she looked at me. "Drawing webtoons," she said and I tilted my head at her.

"That is your work. Work is work. Life is Life. Mafia is my work. My hobbies are painting and playing guitar." I said and she looked at me.

"My hobbies are clicking pictures then," she said and my eyes widened. "Wow, I like clicking pictures and filming things. We match!" I said while grinning at her, completely forgetting what I said to my parents and friends at the lunch yesterday.

Ari smiled slightly and the waiter approached us with our order. "Sorry for the delay, we made these pastries just now so these are fresh!" He said and kept the plates in front of us.

I thanked him and looked at Ari already holding her dessert spoon to dig into the sweet dish. She took a bite of the butterscotch pastry and nodded with no excitement but I grinned at her.

"Can you give me a bite as well, Ari?" I asked, fearing that this must be too much for a first-time meeting but I didn't care. "Aaahh~," I said while looking at her and she bulged her eyes at me.

"What are you doing?" She asked but I closed my mouth and kissed my teeth. "I want to taste yours. Could you give me a bite of the butterscotch? Aahh~" I said and she hesitantly sliced a bit of her pastry before raising the spoon in the air.

I thought to move forward and take it in my mouth but to my greatest surprise, she fed me herself. I looked at her in surprise and she smiled slightly before keeping the spoon back on the plate. "It is delicious."

"It was the first time," she said lowly and I furrowed my brows in confusion. "First time for what again?" I inquired but her eyes twinkled and she flashed me a sincere smile.

"First time ever since my mom died, that someone called me by my name and asked me to feed them."
