Mrs.Jin's POV
I was thinking about the story while sitting inside the cafe alone. I sighed while playing with my pen and looked outside the huge glass window.
I came back from the hospital after the checkup. The pain in my brain engulfing me everyday.
I had no hope of surviving even after surgery so I thought to just cherish the moments I had left. With my daughter, Ari and my love, Jiho.
My head was aching and I sighed deeply. Not thinking anything bad about the future and focusing on the current situation.
My eyes looked at the busy street but then a car parked right in front of the cafe and a small boy came out of it. He looked like he was around 13 or 14 but his actions didn't match his age.
He took his sunglasses off and pulled his wavy hair back with his fingers before entering the cafe with a guard. "What do you want to eat, Prince?"
"Red Velvet pastry, please," The kid replied to his guard who nodded before going to the counter, leaving the kid in the middle of the cafe.
"Hey, boy!" I called out lowly and his doe eyes stared at me with a frown. I gestured for him to come to me and he slowly scrubbed his feet toward me.
"Do I know you, Miss?" The kid asked and my eyes widened. "Wow, you got some manners there."
"Mom said not to talk to strangers." He said and I smiled at him. "Yes, don't talk to strangers. But you are so cute that I cannot stop talking to you."
"That I am! Everyone calls me a bunny!" He said while flashing a wide smile exposing his bunny teeth to me. "What is your name?"
"My name is Jeon Jungkook!" He replied with a delighted grin and I smiled at this cheerful boy. "Nice to meet you, Jungkook."
"What is your name, Miss?" He asked and I smiled at him. "Just call me Aunt Jin."
"Nice to meet you, Aunt Jin." He said extending his hand for a handshake and I chuckled before shaking it.
"Prince, we need to go! I got your pastry!" The guard announced and Jungkook turned to him before looking back at me. "I need to go now, Aunt Jin. I will see you again!"
He said before waving at me and running back to the guard. I smiled sadly while bidding him farewell. "You won't see me again, Jungkook. I won't survive long enough for that."
I started drawing a scene that came to my mind on my dairy and smiled while thinking about Jungkook just now.
Such a kind boy. I hope my Ari has a friend like him after I pass away.
I don't want her to end up gloomy and lonely without me.
I drew the scene using the background of this cafe and two characters. I was about to move to the next scene when someone sat on the seat opposite me.
I looked at him in surprise. "Jiho? How did you know I was here?" I asked and he held my hand. "Why didn't you tell me about your illness?" He asked me softly, ignoring my questions.
"I didn't want you to be sad. Did you get to know from one of your men?" I asked and he nodded.
"Where is Ari?"
"School.""I see. Do you want to spend time together? Let me treat you good in your last days." He said but I smiled and placed my other hand over his. "I know you stay away from us to protect us, Jiho. It is your way to show love."
"Thank you so much for understanding. " He said and I smiled at him. "Also, one more thing." I said and he looked at me, "Don't come to my funeral. I don't want you to come to my funeral and cry."
"Why?" He asked but I shook my head. "You need to be strong for Ari like you always were. You cannot let people or Ari show your weak side that you show me." I said and he sighed.
"Is that your last wish?" He asked and I nodded. "That is my last wish, Jiho"
He nodded and looked at the diary in front of me. "What are you doing?" He asked and I showed him the drawings. "I just wanted to use my drawing skills over comics. I tried making this. I don't know how far I can reach this story but I wanted to make this."
"Don't say like that. Why don't you go for a surgery? We can go abroad for the treatment." He said but I shook my head. "I don't want to."
"Is it because of me?" He asked and I giggled. "You should never blame yourself. I was lucky enough to have Ari as our daughter and you as my husband."
"Then why don't you want to live, Boram?" He asked and I sighed. "I want to live happily, Jiho. The doctors said that there's no chance of me surviving."
"But-"
"Let's not talk anymore about that, please."He smiled before analyzing the drawings. "It looks like a girl and a boy meeting together on a blind date in a cafe." He said and I nodded.
"Wow, great feedback. You understood without the dialogues." I replied and he chuckled before asking. "What is the title?"
"I haven't thought about it yet," I said with a friend and he chuckled. "What is the genre?"
"Mafia Romance but a soft and comedy one and something that will teach something to its audience," I replied and he hummed. "Like raising social awareness?"
"Exactly!" We both laughed and he asked me again. "Are you writing our story?" He asked and I shook my head. "Our story is a tragedy. I would rather make something cheerful." I said and he nodded.
"Have thought about the names of these two characters in the cafe date?" He asked. I smiled and looked at the drawing before telling him.
"Jeon Jungkook and Jin Ari."
