24: Birthday

I walk up to Ari's unit and stand there. I look at my Rolex on my wrist and then keep the flowers on the ground. I casually crouch on the ground and take the cake out of the box.

I take the candles out and decorate them well on the cake. I take the lighter out of my pocket and light the candles before standing up.

I check the time on my wristwatch and control the excitement in my body. Once the minute hand struck 11:59. I slowly press the password to her unit and creak the door open.

I hold the cake in one hand and the flowers in the other before entering her home. I slowly take off my shoes and walk to the table. I keep the flowers on the table in the living room and tiptoe to her study room knowing where she is at this hour.

I check my watch and grin continuously feeling like a kid again. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" I mumbled and push the door open while screaming. "Happy Birthday to the love of my life!"

Ari flinches in her seat with giant eyes staring at me in shock while I sing the birthday song to her. "Happy Birthday to my Ari! Happy Birthday to you!" I sing and step to her.

She looks at me with a frown and I lean down and place my lips on her head. "Happy Birthday to you, Ari. And Happy 6 months-versary to us." I say and she still looks at me with a questioning gaze.

"What? Why do you look so confused? Today we completed 6 months since we started dating." I say and she shakes her head. "I am not surprised about that. Today is my birthday?" She asks and I scoff.

"You are more surprised by the fact that today is your birthday than our anniversary? Wow! I am shaken." I say and keep the cake on her desk, next to her computer.

"Nobody wishes you?" I ask since I get tons of birthday wishes on my birthday and my friends wish me at zero o'clock. She takes her phone and uses it. She nods slowly and keeps it back.

"You are right today is my birthday. Everyone is mentioning me on Social Media." She says and my jaws drop. "No, I mean in real life?" I ask but she shrugs.

"No, this won't do! Get up!" I said and took my phone out. "Go to the living room. Wear your cardigan." I said and slightly pushed her towards the exit of the study.

She went out and my call was finally answered. "Hello, Taehyung? This is an emergency!"

"This is your emergency?" Jin screamed in the living room. "I was sleeping and Taehyung just carried me here!" Jimin said while rubbing his eyes, and scratching his elbow while still in his PJs.

"Shh... you all always wish me on my birthday. If I am like a brother to you then she is like your little sister." I whisper yelled at them. "Where is that little shit? We came all the way to her house." Namjoon asked and I pointed at the couch where Yoongi was sleeping. All of us noticed Ari poking Yoongi's cheeks but him not even waking up because of her actions.

"That rock won't wake up! Let's just cut the cake." Hobi said and I walked to Ari. "Come, let us cut the cake!" I said pulling her away from disturbing Yoongi. Hobi gave her the knife with a smile and she looked at all of us with a confused face but looked at the cake.

"Wait! The candles!" Taehyung said and took a lighter out from his pocket and lit the candles. "Ari, wish for something!" Jin said while stroking her head and she looked at me.

"I wish to marry him," she said while pointing at me and I started coughing. "Wow, this girl is perfect! Damn! I like your swag!" Yoongi said, popping behind Ari and all of us flinched except Ari. "But you were sleeping!" Hobi screamed and Yoongi shrugged.

"Thank you. Should I blow on them now?" She asked Yoongi who nodded. All of us sang the birthday song while Namjoon was so over-excited that he went out of tune, but we all enjoyed our time together.

"Ari, do you have seaweed at home?" Jin asked and she nodded. "I have some because Jungkook made some gimbap this week." She said pointing at the shelf.

"Can I use your kitchen?" Jin asked and she nodded. "I'll help him too," Jimin volunteered. "I should help you as well. I know where I keep all the ingredients and stuff," I said and they nodded.

"Here, enjoy the feast!" I said placing the seaweed soup in front of Ari. "This is the first time I am having seaweed soup after my mother's death," she said and I held her arm.

"It's alright, little shit! You have seven daddies right now with you, celebrating your birthday at 1 am at one night! You should be happy. Dig in!" Namjoon said and I glared at him but he smirked. "I didn't brush my teeth!" Jimin said but Yoongi smacked his arm. "No need to eat then!" He said. Jimin was about to argue but Jin stopped them all.

"Let's not fight in front of this girl. Let her eat. Ari-" Jin said and looked at her already finishing half of the food on her plate. I chuckled and shook my head but then turned to Yoongi who was doing the same.

"Woah! Let's just eat. These two aren't even bothered." Taehyung said and all of us started eating. "Eat a lot, okay Ari?" I said and she nodded.

"Jungkook, did you look into the matter with Seolhyun?" Jimin asked and I sighed while shaking my head. "He just simply took our idea and is sharing it with Mr. Yuta," I replied.

"How much of a jerk can he be? Just because he is our friend and we can't be angry at him doesn't mean he will do that?" Namjoon said and I shook my head.

"I know Klars is not our rival but what Seolhyun did really made me upset and I can't even do anything about it," I replied and felt Ari gripping my arm.

"Klars? Is that a Mafia company?" She asked and I shook my head. "Nope, we have a simple technological business to cover up our illegal Mafia works. Klars is similar to that." I replied and she nodded.

"That is why Jungkook is both a Mafia King and a successful CEO in Asia." Hobi cheered and I smiled at him. "Let's not talk about this here. It is Ari's birthday and both of our 6 Month-versary. Let us focus on that." I said and they nodded.

I looked at Ari thinking about something so I nudged her slightly and she looked at me. I mouthed her to eat and she nodded before continuing to eat until Taehyung suddenly spoke up.

"I hope you both get married and give us beautiful nephews and nieces soon!"
