"That was some great stuff, Hailee." My manager tells me. I smile as I set my headphones down and walk back out the recording room.

"Thanks. I feel it could use a bit more work, though." I take a drink of water and sit down to listen to the first draft of my new song.

I listen in, and it's not bad at all. If anything, I feel it's got a lot of potential, I just need it to grab at one's heartstrings. That's all I ever want in a song.

"Well, we can work on it. I'm pretty sure you've got other things on your plate." I nod my head and start to pack my things to go to my car where Griffin's waiting.

"Well, hello there!" Griffin says, taking a sip of his Red Bull energy drink. I shake my head. This man loves his Red Bull.

"Y'know you could just drink coffee like a normal person," I tease, poking him in the stomach. "Y'know that gets you addicted. Why am I even explaining anything to you? You're addicted."

"I'm not addicted. I just drink it more often than you do."

"Whatever you say, sis. Whatever you say." I nod my head and signal for him to get into the passenger's seat. I'm driving a Honda, one which Griffin got for my twenty-first birthday. As much as I love it, I'm thinking of putting it on the market.

It's not that I have anything against it, it's more of the fact that I shared some memories with someone I once knew to be special. Now that he's out of the picture, all I see when I enter this car is him and him alone.

I just can't seem to see far beyond that, no matter how hard I try.

"So you haven't told me who you're meeting for dinner."

"For the record, I thought I told you."

"I think I'd know if you told me you were meeting someone for dinner." Griffin gives me a look and I can't really argue with that. Before I let anyone know of anyone, I always tell Griffin. He's always my diary, if I do say so myself.

But it's not like Y/n and I are anything more than friends, did I really feel the need to tell him? Do I need to tell him?

"If you must know, I'm meeting Y/n for dinner." Griffin's eyes lower to a squint, I can tell I've lost him right then and there.

"You're gonna have to give me more than that, Hails." I hum an understanding look as I forgot that Griffin doesn't always know who I know and vice-versa.

"My bad. I'm meeting Y/n Y/l/n. Does that ring a bell?" I ask him, knowing he might start getting a little clue.

His eyes then widen, "Wait... the Y/n Y/l/n?" I giggle at the way he's getting all surprised. I nod my head and smile, as much as I try to conceal it.
