"Now this is a fluffy pancake!" Griffin says, taking a bite of his plate of pancakes. I look down at my own plate of pancakes, filled with syrupy deliciousness.
Wanna know the best part? Y/n made it.
Call me crazy, if you will. But my note here is that if, God forbid, writing gives way, she could find success as a chef. And why not? She's mighty good at it.
"I know you've heard it times before, but tubby here is right!" I say, smiling at the fact that I've just called my brother tubby. He snaps his head towards me. Pretty sure he's heard me, along with the whole gang as well.
"Who are you callin' tubby?" he asks.
I take a mouthful of my pancakes, pointing my finger in his direction. Y/n's sat down next to me, laughing at my gimmick. "I'm getting you back for that."
As soon as I let the pancakes enter my mouth, I'm hit with the fluffiness and it's sweetness all in one. Everything is right the way it's supposed to be.
"In any case," says Y/n, now starting to come in between the two of us before it turns into a sibling slaughter, "I'm so glad you like it, Griff!"
"Like it, I love it!"
Y/n nods her head, turning towards me. "And how are you this fine morning?" I smile at that, knowing fully well she knows how I'm feeling. "I'm doing fairly well, how are you doing?" She doesn't need to be told to know I know, too.
She leans over, kissing the side of my head, "So about today," she starts, "I was thinking a bit of a lazy day before heading out."
Say less, count me in.
"I'd love that, Munchkin! When can we start?"
"Anytime you feel like it," she says, taking a sip of coffee, "I'm game whenever you are." I nod my head, finishing off the rest of my plate, feeling satisfied.
"Speaking of heading out," I start, now addressing the whole gang, "What've we got planned?" Liam and Chloe take the lead on this one.
"You see, we're not too big of planners. That's not exactly where the fun is. But, if we must, the plan is to head over downtown where Liam, Y/n and I can be able to take you guys everywhere. See the sights, do all that's fun," says Chloe, explaining today.
"That sounds good, I'm down!" says Griffin, on his way to taking another batch of pancakes to his plate. I guess if that stuffs him till later, I won't complain.
"But we've gotta be able to head out right after lunch. Roads typically get crowded at around one and we're supposed to be getting there by two," says Y/n. I nod my head at her, knowing fully well I'm gonna be able to make it by then.
