Y/n's POV
"It's official. Fall has finally arrived!" I say, grabbing two cups of hot chocolate and bringing them over to Chloe and Hailee.
This is nice.
A night in with the two people I care about. Too bad Liam isn't here to be a third, not to mention Griff. And my grams.
The closer it gets to Thanksgiving, the more I'd been thinking about her and our usual traditions. It's something I've always enjoyed doing. It's been a year since those stopped and I can't help but miss them.
The mere things that had taken place have now caused me to just want to forget the celebratory feelings of each holiday. Because all of them were shared with the best people in the world and that's now changed.
"The weather's starting to give us the crispy leaves," Hailee says. Chloe reaches out for the cup I set down a few minutes ago. She takes a sip, "You've got a point."
"Are you a fan of the fall?"
"Oh, hell yeah!" Chloe says enthusiastically, "Gotta be one of my favorite seasons. Not warm ... but not too cold."
I take my phone out to check the time. It's not too late to take an evening stroll. But tonight, I feel like doing something else instead. But I still know I need to give this time. My phone suddenly vibrates, taking my away from my thoughts.
It's Griffin.
Griff 👑
Hey, how's it going? Just wanted to see if we're still on for tomorrow ...That's sweet, and of course, I'm coming. I've literally cleared my schedule for this dude. He's super cool to be around. Really love him to death. I'd love to hang out with this guy real soon. I give him a response.

Hey, nothing much. What about you? And of course, we're still on! Still don't know what I'm getting myself into, though."Who're you textin' there?" I look up from my phone to Chloe, who's taking a sip of hot chocolate. I gesture my head and nudge in the direction of Hailee, "Her brother."
Hailee turns and rolls her eyes, "What happened, Hails? You don't seem to excited about it."
"No, I love that they're getting close. But Griff kinda did something to piss me off, so I'm waiting till all of that rage settles and simmers away."
All he did was be a typical brother, how could that have pissed her off for long? Or was it someone else in the mix?
"Y/n? ... Y/n?" I turn my head to Chloe, who looked like she'd been calling me for way longer than she actually should've. "Yeah?"
