Chapter 23

Y/n's POV

The next week had come and it was now November 8th. I told my mom yesterday that she had to cancel everything she had going on today so we could have our girls day.

I also got in contact with the girls dad so we could have them for a few days. Right now, I was driving with my mom to the ferry.

"Where are we going Y/n?" She asked me.

"You'll see. I told you it was a surprise already." I told her.

"Well you know I don't like surprises." She complained.

"You'll like this one I promise." I smiled as we pulled up to the Ferry Lot.

We waited for a while as my moms foot tapped quickly.
I finally saw the Ferry in the distance and I got out of the car.

My mother looked confused as she followed me. As I waited in the dock, I saw the girls dad and 2 sets of cat ears walking right in front of them.

My mom still looked around confused when the two got off the Ferry and started running towards us.

"Mommy!!!" The twins screamed and it all clicked. My moms face erupted in a big smile as tears started to fall down her face.

"My baby's!" My mom screamed as she started running towards them. I watched the sweet moment as they're dad came next to me.

"Hey Seth." I gave him a short hug that he returned.

"Hey kiddo, how you been?" He asked sweetly. Seth was always a sweetheart. There were generally no problems with my mom and him.

They dated for like 2 months when they found out about the twins. They tried to stay together but it didn't really work out. Obviously.

He was a nice guy though and they ended on good terms. He was like another father figure to me to, I had always looked up to him.

"I've been pretty good actually. I'm working on getting my actual license. Moms letting me drive around today so I can get some practice. What about you?" I asked him. The agreement was that the girls would live with my mom until they started school.

Now normally my mother would never let that happen, but Seth was also a very prestigious man and the girls had more opportunities living with him rather than here in the Island.

Plus I knew they loved it on the mainland. I miss them but it was for the best.

"Oh you know, just taking it day by day. The girls keep me occupied. It's nice what your doing for your mom. She deserves it." He said.

"Yea she needs some kind of break. I was just gonna have it be us to but I knew she'd want them there." I told him as my mother and the girls started walking towards us.

"Hi y/n!" They yelled as they came and hugged me.

"Hey girlies." I chuckled as I bent down and hugged him.

"Hello Seth." My mother smiled and they went in for a friendly hug.

"Hello Kendra, you look nice." He said.

"Not so bad yourself, I'm guessing your filled in on what's going on today?" She asked as she smiled at me.

"You guessed right. But I promised I wouldn't say anything. I'm gonna hang around at The Cameron's for the next few days if you guys end up needing me though. You guys have fun today." He said as he bent down and started to say goodbye to the twins.

"Oh The Cameron's, isn't that interesting. Did you fill him in on that?" My mom smirked at me. When I told you he was like my father, I wasn't lying.

"What is it?" He stood back up looking between the 2 of us.
