Kim Taehyung sighed deeply as he once again fell to his knees, the cold ice scraping against his tight black leggings.

"You almost completed it that time, Tae!" Jin, his older brother, shouted from behind the the ice rink, a warm encouraging smile on his lips.

Taehyung frowned, however, getting back to his feet gracefully, he had finally gotten used to balancing on his ice skates.

"Don't pout, Tae! You'll be able to complete the triple spin by the Winter Heart!" Jin reassured from the bleachers.

The Winter Heart was an annual competition in Daegu for ice skater and Taehyung was finally able to participate in the contest. Taehyung has been waiting for this moment since he started ice skating at the age of eleven, it was a thing he thought he'd never like or enjoy. Honestly, when his mother enrolled him in classes, he didn't want to go, he hated the cold and anything related to ice.

However, he couldn't say no when he saw how happy it made his mother. Fortunately, after a year of doing it, Taehyung actually started to like the graceful sport, he was naturally talented at it. Yet, the young male was also naturally clumsy, so some people who knew Taehyung were surprised he could be so light and graceful on the ice.

Taehyung sighed again as he started moving on the ice, slow at first then gradually building up in speed.

Taehyung had already made his routine for the Winter Heart but he couldn't get his big presentation, a triple spin. He's seen many other ice skaters, male and female do this beautiful move on the ice, he's admired this move for a while and inspires to be able to do fantastic ice skating moves when he advances in his classes.

Taehyung ingaled softly, his body slightly tightening as he prepared his body to leap and spin.

Focus Taehyung..just calm your limbs and...jump...

"DAMN IT!!!" Taehyung yelled as he fell onto the ice again, his knees hitting the hard ice surface.

This time, the male didn't watch his momentum and lost his footing when he only twirled around two times.

"UGH! I'M NEVER GONNA GET THIS STUPID MOVE!!"

"Don't be like that, Tae. It just takes practice--" Jin tried to soothe his brother who angrily slid off the ice rink and plopped down on the bleachers, quickly untying his ice skates in frustration.

"And patience," Jin chuckled carefully.

Taehyung growled in annoyance, picking up his ice skates, and stomping out of the huge sports complex. "Wait for me, Tae!" Jin shouted, grabbing his bag and hurrying after his brother.

"Can't they have the Winter Heart in the summer? I hate being cold inside and then having to be cold outside." Taehyung complained as he slumped on their car, waiting for his hyung to open the car.

Jin chuckled, opening the car. "Then it wouldn't be a winter event, Tae."

Taehyung grumbled to himself, cranking up the heater as Jin drove away from the complex.

Jin pouted. "Don't be upset, Tae. You're an amazing ice skater, you'll be able to complete this move."

"That's not the only problem, Jin...I want to win. The award will be phenomenal for us, no longer will people look down on us." Taehyung said quietly.
