Chapter 8

◇The Next Day, 7:00pm: Winter Heart◇

Taehyung couldn't believe the Winter Heart was already here; the event was held in the city of Daegu where a large ice rink stood that held regular ice skating competitions. People were excitedly sitting in the stands, waiting eagerly for the event to start. The contestants were waiting in the back, all getting ready and discussing formations.

Taehyung and Jimin waited for their class, helping the younger ice skaters to be prepared.

"Alright, remember class, don't beat yourself up when you mess up on a move or miss a jump. Just continue to do the routine and finish strong." Taehyung told his students who were all listening intently.

"Yes, Mr. Kim." They all nodded.

"We know you all will do great! Have fun and enjoy having this amazing opportunity." Jimin spoke to them, comfortably patting the students shoulders.

"Yes, Mr. Park!" The students nodded with smiles on their lips.

"May minor group A please exit and come onto the ice rink." A voice instructed through the wall speaker and a young group of ice skaters stepped out of the room.

"Ooo, can we go watch them, Mr. Kim?" One of their students asked.

"Sure. You all won't go on until after group B." Taehyung agreed, leading his best friend and the young ice skaters back out into the walkways around the ice rink.

Taehyung immediately noticed Jungkook at the center of the judge's table as they settled to watch minor group A perform. Jungkook seemed to be looking around himself, smiling brightly once he saw Taehyung, waving at him happily making Taehyung blush and shyly wave back.

"Well~ Things must've gone good with you two," Jimin whispered, bumping his best friend's shoulder with a playful giggle.

Taehyung tried to hide his happy smile. "Right...I forgot to text you about it."

"Then give me the details, bitch! I'm positive some stuff went down with that look he gave you." Jimin giggled mischievously.

"Okay, okay, first...I apologized to him, he confessed and I confessed, then I introduced him to my mom. After that we went on a date, that's all that happened." Taehyung stated, smiling bashfully.

"Aww! That sounds so nice, Tae! I'm so happy for you! My best friend is all grown up." Jimin sniffed.

Taehyung giggled, hitting the latter's shoulder. "Stop, you're so annoying!~"

"I am truly happy for you, Tae. Love and happiness is something you deserve. And keep me updated!" Jimin winked.

"I will, and thank you, Jiminie. Your words and encouragement have meant more to me than you think." Taehyung said softly, side-hugging his best friend.

Jimin was about to speak when loud claps and cheers interrupted him, minor group A had just finished their performance.

"Wah...they did really good." One of their students mumbled with wide eyes as minor group B slid onto the ice rink.

"I'm nervous, what if I fall or something?" Quinn asked frantically.

Taehyung smiled, gently patting her shoulder. "Then you get up again. There's nothing wrong with falling, everyone does it, we just gotta learn to accept that."

"I suppose you're right..." Quinn nodded with a slight smile.

"Don't be scared, class. You all got this." Taehyung assured them.

The class smiled while nodding and went back to watching group B's performance. The group had done well, the judges seemed to approve once the routine ended nicely.
