Chapter 9

◇Time Skip; Monday◇

"Alright, that will be all for today, class. I hope you all enjoyed this easy class today. I'll see you all next year." Mr. Chan said to his students after they had a nice last practice for the semester.

"Thank you, Mr. Chan." The students bowed, sliding off the ice.

"And once again, congratulations on your achievement, Taehyung." Mr. Chan nodded at the boy.

Taehyung bowed deeply. "Thank you, sir."

"You represented your town well, Taehyung. Have a nice break." Mr. Chan smiled slightly as he too got off the ice.

Taehyung smiled as he massaged his legs, he still wasn't used to all the praises he received from his community, some people he never thought would talk to him, it made him happy. Even though some people still criticized his family, Taehyung learned to stay happy and content from all the hate. He proved many people wrong about their expectations of the Kim family, and Taehyung hopes to continue to achieve many more awards.

"Phew! That was a nice last practice. What do you think, Tae?" Jimin asked his best friend, plopping right next to him.

"It was, now we can relax for five whole weeks." Taehyung sighed in relief.

"We should do another sleepover! I have some facial masks we can try," Jimin giggled excitedly.

Taehyung chuckled. "Sounds like a plan."

Jimin grinned, about to speak again when his phone rang. "Yes, mama? Oh! Right, that was today. Be out in a sec,"

"What happened, Jiminie?"

"I forgot I had a doctor's appointment today, blah. I'll text you later, soulmate!" Jimin waved as he rushed outside.

"Stay safe, soulmate!" Taehyung yelled, smiling a bit as he went back onto the ice rink since it looked like everyone had gone home.

Taehyung was going to spend the rest of the day with Jungkook, and he couldn't wait. The thought of being Jungkook's boyfriend made his heart skip a beat, but he knew he should take things slow, maybe a few more dates before they made it official.

Taehyung mindlessly skated, just waiting for Jungkook when he felt a sharp push on his back, causing him to fall hard onto the ice from the harsh unexpected action.

The shocked male glanced up to see Ella staring down at him with annoyance.

"Ella? Why the hell did you--"

"Just shut it, slut! You know I deserved to win first place at the Winter Heart, not you!! You're supposed to be the stupid boy nobody likes!" She snapped.

Taehyung scoffed. "I'm sorry, Ella. Things change, accept that."

"I will not accept that. I deserve that trophy, you deserve to burn to death!" She shouted.

"What's your problem, Ella?! What did I ever do to you?" Taehyung asked frantically.

"Exist." She hissed.

Taehyung sighed, trying to get up. "Ella, I know we have our differences, but please just--"

"Just push you? I'll do that." She shrugged before pushing Taehyung again to the cold ice ground.
