Frozen Heart

Chapter 6

◇Thrusday, after class◇

"Alright, since the Winter Heart is only three days away, I need Dae, Ella, and Taehyung." Mr. Chan instructed after the ice skaters had finished their practice of their performance.

The class nodded and the three said students stayed on the ice.

"Okay, you three. Please perform your routine, try not to mess up, the competition isn't far away." Mr. Chan stated firmly before nodding towards Dae. "You start first, Dae."

"Yes, sir," Dae bowed, sliding farther onto the ice as he did his routine, which was smooth and sharp.

"Good, Dae. Now see if the judges will like it. Remember you're competing with three skaters from Seoul. Now, Ella,"

"Yes, sir," Ella bowed, glaring at Taehyung before she slid to the middle of the rink and did her graceful performance.

"Good, Ella. I like the touch of flowers. Let's hope the judges like it. Now, you, Taehyung."

"Good luck, clumsy." Ella snickered as he passed her to the middle of the ice rink.

Taehyung simply ignored her and positioned himself, slowly sliding around the rink then began his routine. It had definitely improved, no mistakes were made, Taehyung had completed the leg lifting spin with no trouble. As the triple spin came closer, Taehyung inhaled softly, he wouldn't mind if he failed or the laughs that would happen, he would ignore it and do the instructions Jungkook had taught him.

Taehyung remembered Jungkook's words as he jumped in the air, spinning smoothly three times before he landed gracefully on his feet.

"Yes, Tae!! You did it!!" Taehyung heard Jimin yell from the benches as Taehyung tried to calm his happy heart, he had actually completed the triple spin!! After all the hard work, he had finally completed it.

However, a smile wouldn't form on his lips.

Because the one person he wanted to see his accomplishment was not here.

"Amazing improvement, Taehyung. Let's see if the judges like it." Mr. Chan said as Taehyung finished his performance with a sad frown.

The latter bowed. "Thank you, Mr. Chan."

"Alright, rest well my students. See you at the Winter Heart." Mr. Chan waved goodbye.

"See, I told you it would happen one day, Tae!!! Just took practice." Jimin congratulated his friend after they took off their skates and rested on the benches.

"All thanks to Jungkook..." Taehyung murmured then smiled widely at his friend. "I wouldn't have done it without you either, Jiminie. Your never-ending support is what keeps me going."

"Aww!! Stop being so sappy!~" Jimin giggled gleefully, hugging his best friend warmly.

"Hey, Taehyung," Ella suddenly spoke while the two males broke their embrace.

"What does she want?" Jimin muttered as Taehyung turned to her with an expressionless look.

"What is it, Ella?"

"You know I'm going to win the competition, right? Just because you can do a triple spin and all those "cool" moves, I'm gonna win. I skate better and I am more prettier then you, who wants to see a boy skate anyway? It's weird." Ella sneered.
