Author's POV

"Are you okay?"

Haneul asked the person who was sitting in front of her house, hugging his knees, burying his head in them. The person's dark eyes met her honey one's. He slowly stood up but unable to keep balance he fell on her soulder. Haneul immediately caught him, being a doctor she is feeling worried. Maybe he caught up with a fight with those gangsters or mafias. The more the night passes the more the appearance of them starts. The person opened his chapped lips and whispered painfully,

"Please help me."

Two hours ago.

Hanuel. Park Haneul was sitting inside a cafè for drinking coffee as she had a headache. She thought coffee might help to free herself from the stress of her work as her schedule often changes. Being an assistant doctor of Kim Seokjin is not an easy task. She's currently working at KSJ Hospital under the custody of the head professor and doctor of the hospital, Kim Seokjin. More like she's taking training from him. She came to Seoul two years ago from Tokyo, Japan. And surprisingly she got a chance to be a doctor at the famous hospital.

Ding!!!!

A message crept on her mobile's screen.

"Your schedule changes from tomorrow.
From 10:00pm to 03:30am.
-Dr. Jin."

Sometimes Dr. Jin's duality confuses her.
She sighed. It's hard to cope with the new schedules.

As she was watching the rain drops falling on the ground through the glass window while sipping her coffee, she heard the news played on the TV of the cafe,

The same notorious gang attacked again last night. The report says that four policemen were injured badly due to it. Nobody knows about the newfound....

Hanuel closed her ears with her hands. She was irritated by listening to the same news again and again or maybe she was afraid. She checked her watch. It's 6:30 pm. She needs to go home before the sky gets darker. And fate was not with her today. It was raining and she doesn't have an umbrella nor a raincoat.

'Maybe I've to go home soaking in this rain.'

Just then a hand stopped her. Haneul looked at the mysterious man, a questionable expression plastered on her face. Gosh. He's handsome. The man handed her an umbrella and said,

"Don't go in the rain without it. Who knows what will happen if you don't have anyone to take care of you when you become sick." Before leaving, the man smirked looking at her cardigan's breast pocket where her name was written.

Dr. Park Haneul.

Hanuel's cheeks reddened.

'What a pervert. But should I accept the umbrella? '

She looked outside. The rain hasn't stopped.

'Maybe I should.'

She then headed off to her house.

On the way to her home, she accidentally bumped into someone. The man angrily yelled at her,

"Can't you see?!"

"I'm sorry but can't you see?" Oops big mistake. It's not the right time to argue.

The man chuckled. He started to come close to her but stopped immediately when he noticed someone behind her, a little far away, glaring at him. He gulped hard, fearing that very person. He didn't say anything and ran away. Meanwhile, Haneul stood there shocked. What just happened? She looked behind but found none. A danger alarm rang inside her head and she also ran towards  her house's direction. When she arrived she found the person who looked like someone had beaten him badly. His arm was bleeding and he had a cut on the side of his forehead. He also looked weak. Being the kind person she was, she wanted to help. She held his waist, put his hand around her shoulder and brought him to her apartment's drawing room. She made him sit on the couch and ran to her room to bring the first aid kit, wet towels and water. The person has pale white skin and his lips were dry.

Haneul slowly started to clean the blood and the man hissed when she pressed the antiseptic on his wound. After bandaging she started to look if he was hurt somewhere else or not. But when she was about to touch his neck the person suddenly held her neck, tightly.

"What were you trying to do?"

Haneul couldn't breathe.

"I w-was just h-helping you." She managed to say. The person removed his hand from her neck and again fell on the couch.

"I thought you were going to kill me." Saying he blacked out. Haneul stood there shocked. She poked him but got no response. She checked his pulse rate and thankfully it was steady. He's probably exhausted. Breathing out in relief she put a blanket over him and went to her room.

Just then she realized she brought a stranger to her house.

'What a dumb I am! Aishh! But I don't think he'll cause any harm. Besides he was hurt.'

She closed her room's door properly, did her night routine and went to sleep.

On the other hand, the person who was pretending to sleep got startled by a phone call. He hissed before accepting the call,

"Don't disturb me when I'm trying to get some sleep.
Yeah yeah I've entered her house and no she didn't suspect.
Okay."

He cut the call. Tossing the phone on the table he looked at the ceiling while smirking.

"Ahhh Park Haneul. You don't know he's waiting for you. Be ready for the adventure.
Tik tokk tik tokk."
