Chapter 8

Author's POV

Haneul and Jungkook are sitting face to face on the chairs. As Jungkook was staring at her, trying to read her face Haneul was playing with her fingers.

"W-what you wanted to tell me?"

"Do you know Lee Junghee?"

Haneul's POV

Lee Junghee. The name is familiar. But where? Where? Oh I remember.

"My caretaker said when I was in the orphanage in Tokyo there was a man named Lee Junghee who would always come to meet with me. My expenses were also given by him. When I asked the caretaker of the orphanage about him he told that uncle Junghee was the one who took me there."

"I see. Your parents?"

My expression saddened.

"I once asked the caretaker. He said uncle Junghee was my father's business partner. My father didn't want me neither he wanted to take care of me. Uncle Junghee saw me sleeping on a bench in a park. I was maybe four years old. He secretly took me to the orphanage because he said my father threatened him not to help me. I don't know about my mother and I don't even remember my father's face."

I hold back my tears. My father never loved me. He let me die when I was fucking four years old. Uncle Junghee was the one who took care of me.

"What about Lee Junghee then? Where is he now?"

And I broke down.

"I....I don't know. I can't remember. I asked the caretaker of my orphanage and he said uncle suddenly disappeared. Like he was nowhere. He then never come to meet me. He was acting strange those days. I feared maybe my dad got to know that he was helping me. I...I don't know." I cried hardly. He was the father figure I needed when my own father abandoned me.

"I want to know why my father abandoned me. I want to know why Uncle Junghee left me." I buried my face in my knees. And suddenly I felt someone hug me. Jungkook hugged me. I felt comfort. Maybe I need it. I snuggled more. We stayed like this for some moment. He placed his hand on my cheek wiping my tears. I stared at his bambi eyes which were already looking at me. I felt myself attracted to him. We were so close. Our breath mingled and we leaned. We were about to kiss but the door burst opened revealing none other than V. Wait? Oh my gosh we were about to kiss. My eyes widen as well as Jungkook's too and we jolted from each other.

Author's POV

V furrowed his eyebrows looking at them. He's glaring at the both of them. Well he was making sure his babygirl was in her room but only to found the room empty. No one. He then searched her everywhere in the mansion thinking she ran away and later came to Jungkook's study room. He peeked through the door and saw them almost kissing so he had to barged in. He was staring at her non stop. Why is he feeling jealous of their close proximity?

"What are you doing here?" He coldly asked Haneul.

"Nothing. Just needed some answers of some questions from her." Jungkook said.

Haneul quickly ran to her room to avoid any more questions. Specially from V. V then also got out of there not forgetting to give Jungkook one last glare. Jungkook just cluelessly watched him going away.

'What happened to him?' He thought.

The more the night deepens the more V moves on his bed. Either left or right. Unable to sleep he got up and went to his room's balcony. Cold wind passed away touching his face. He ran his fingers on his hair and looked at the black sky filled with so many stars.

"You've gave me so much pain Haneul. You've to pay every single of that. That too slowly but very painfully." His eyes darkened, screaming nothing but only the flames of revenge.

Meanwhile Jungkook was still thinking in his study room, spinning the marker with his fingers. Park Haneul, this girl was also mysterious. She looks like innocent but in V's point of view it's a facade. The story started three years ago when V was madly searching for a girl. He showed his gang members a picture of Haneul and told them he wants her. Jungkook would always feel different seeing her photo. The girl was dangerously beautiful. V never said why he wants that girl. He just says he wants revenge. They all know V is one of the dangerous gangsters in the underworld. Jungkook knows he won't take revenge from anyone without any reason. There's something behind it. Although they two have a sour relationship with each other but still Jungkook cares for his brother like friend. His friendship is important to him. So with the help of Suga he started to investigate and found out Haneul lived in Tokyo's 'Sagami Orphanage'. It became more confusing that why would V wanted to take revenge from an orphan. He's heartless but not that heartless. But there was another thing. There wasn't any data of Haneul's past. It seemed like someone purposely erased them. And Jungkook became more sure that V's past has a connection with Haneul.

So he secretly went to Japan's Tokyo city and after a hard search he only found out the name Lee Junghee. In Haneul's point of view Lee Junghee took her to the orphanage and was also her father's business partner. But he disappeared suddenly without telling anyone. What does it mean then? Is V enemy with Haneul's family?

However, Jungkook kept the matter hidden that Haneul was in Sagami Orphanage. One year ago when new students came under Jin's custody in his hospital, surprisingly Haneul was one of them. When he told it to V the plan started. He strictly told Jin to keep an eye on her every moves. In V's order Suga acted the injury drama. That rainy day when the man bumped into her and ran away seeing someone behind her was V himself. He planned everything just to trap Haneul in his cage like a caged bird and he succeeded doing that.

Jungkook was thinking all of it. Now in his point of view Haneul is innocent. V's thinking wrong. He needs to know the truth. But first he has to find that Lee Junghee guy to solve the puzzle. But where will he find him?
