Chapter One-- Same Name?

Cool breeze. Nature. A relaxing afternoon. Finally, after all the hectic schedule in living a life of a superstar, Hollie Cavanagh found herself not wanting to leave Preston Hill. She has been dreaming of taking a break from urban lights. The scent of the flowers and the calmness of the lake brought her to comfort. She closed her eyes and smiled l

listening to the birds humming at a distance. She suddenly remembered Joshua Ledet her bestfriend, who used to spend time with her at Preston Hill. They would chat long hours and their laughter echoed the whole place. She even recalled that during the last time they were together, Josh gave her a note with a direction, FILL IN THE BLANKS. She laughed out loud because for her it was a joke. But then, she kept the paper. Those were fun moments. But things changed. Josh moved to another country to put up a recording company, while she chose to stay because she had many commitments and her career was in full bloom. It has been four years ago since the last time they saw each other.

Out of the blue, her cell phone interrupted her reflective mood. It was a message from her manager. At first, she trembled praying that it was not an order saying that she should be on a TV show at once. She sighed in relief after reading the first line. However, she was surprised on the last statement in the message...

"Josh is in the country!" she exclaimed. Her heart was beating fast in excitement.

She could not wait to get back home. she called her manager, Jenica and requested for Josh''s number. She couldn't believe that Jenica has it. She quickly dialed the number.

"Pls..pick up..." Hollie told herself excitedly.

"Hello..." a lady answered.

"Oh..Hello...is this Josh's number?" she asked.

"Oh yes, but he's not around. He left his phone." the lady replied.

"Okay, thanks. May I know who this is?" she asked, hoping that it was Josh's sister.

"I'm Hollie, Josh's girlfriend." she replied.

"What?! Is this a joke? Oh never mind.. I... I mean, It's just weird. I'm Hollie. Josh's bestfriend." Hollie trembled.

"Wow Hollie GF talking with Hollie BFF..how cute!" the other Hollie exclaimed and laughed.

"Yeah...I'm also hoping to meet you Hollie,,,,,"

"I'm Hollie Donovan. ...thanks, Hollie Cavanagh.."

"Okay. Bye...Please tell Josh I called." she said.

"Sure!" she giggled and ended the call.

Then, Cavanagh's phone slipped from her hand.

"What?" murmured to herself.

While inside her car, Hollie Cavanagh could not stop thinking of what Hollie Donovan looks like and where and when Josh met her and lastly, why of all the names, Josh chose someone who has the same name as hers. She could feel the tension heating up her veins as different scenarios flashed in her mind.

"Ms. Hollie, are you okay?" her driver asked.

"Yeah...don't worry, Drake." Hollie said but she could not hide her anxiety.

"I thought you'll stay at Preston the whole day. What made you change your mind?" Drake asked.

"Well, Jenica called. I can't say no. Please Drake, I'm not really in the mood to talk right now." she said weakly. Then, she received another text message from Jenica informing her that someone is waiting for her at the studio. She added that it's a very important person. She didn't reply. All that came in her mind was Josh. Josh. Josh and his girlfriend. She couldn't believe that she would be affected that way. She didn't even know how she'd interact with them.

Minutes later, they finally reached the studio. She became nervous as they stopped in the car park. She saw a familiar car. Then, she scolded herself for being paranoid.

She quickly grabbed her makeup kit and fixed herself first. Afterwards, she stepped out of the car. She accidentally bumped into someone as she entered the building. She felt so embarrassed. She sighed as she saw Jenica approaching.

"Fumbling..." Jenica teased and gave her a hug.

"Sorry I destroyed your day." she added.

"No...it's good that you let me know earlier. Is he here?" Hollie asked.

"Yeah. How did you know it's a guy?" Jenica asked as they headed to the studio.

"Wild guess." Hollie replied.

"Is he with someone?" she added

"Nope.Alone and eager to see you again." Jenica said.

As the door burst open, her jaw dropped..

"Hi Hollie..." he said with yellow tulips.

"Morgan, you're here now?!" she was surprised seeing her boyfriend right before her eyes.

"Yes, surprise! It seems you're expecting someone else." Morgan wrinkled and laughed.

"No...no..I'm not.." Hollie stuttered and stared at Jenica.

"Let's get out of here. Have some tacos." he suggested.

"Sure. but I'll say something to Jen, first." she said. Then, grabbed Jen's arm to the hallway.

"Jen, why? I thought it was..." Hollie suddenly felt ashamed to say the truth.

"Josh." Jenica ended her statement. "Miscommunication. I didn't tell you that Josh is here in the studio. I said he's here in the country but we haven't met yet 'coz he just arrived yesterday. Just call him. But as of this moment, go with Morgan. He needs you." Jenica tapped her shoulder and walked away.

"Oh..yeah..." Hollie said dryly.

"Darling, let's go..." Morgan called.

"Yeah.." she replied.

"Oh Ms. Hollie, someone wants to give you this.." Brenda, her production assistant said, handling her, an envelope.

When she opened it, there was a LETTER that reads, HOLLIE YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED FILL IN THE BLANKS GAME..

Hollie was puzzled. Josh did this to her once.

"Could this be from Josh?" she asked and looked around. But he was not there. The scene flashed in her mind again.

It was years ago, the last time they went together at Preston Hill, Josh gave her a letter.

"You can read it aloud right now." Joshua winked.

"Why? I want to read this as soon as I get back home." she replied.

"come on...it's thrilling.." he insisted. Hence, she did as he wished.

"Dear Hollie, i'm ______. _______ when _____ ________ each ______ ________ and ____ are ______ _______ __________, will_____ ______ ____ coz _____ ______ _______ so _____ and i ___________ ________ _______ for ______ _________. josh"

"What's this..." she laughed and kept the letter.

"Hmm...looks like you're not into it." he said.

"I want to read the letter again and analyze it." Hollie told herself.
