Chapter 5 --- Just Shout: "CUT!"

Chapter 5

The sun was extremely hot on Miami Beach. 10a.m.- call time, first shooting day for the pilot episode of Grease. Hollie was at the Dressing Room an hour before the call time. Her manager, Jenica forced her to get out of bed. The make-up artist gave her a light blush and a baby pink lipstick. Her dress--the most conservative of all-- cream sleeves and knee-length pleated tangerine skirt.

"Are you sure?" Hollie asked her stylist.

"Your character is conservative, Hollie..old-fashioned.." her stylist replied.

"But it'll be a beach scene..." she chuckled.

"Hollie...that is what the script asks you to wear." Jenica reminded her. She was seated behind her, observing her.

"Hi Hollie..." someone greeted. She was shocked that it was Morgan.

"Hollie...can we talk?" he asked. He still looked sleepy.

"Morgan, I'm quite busy here. Please wait. Let's talk during lunch break." she said. She observed that Jenica turned upset. She was scolded before because of Morgan's "over-guarding" attitude.

"I'll be here. I'll just watch and cheer for you.." he replied. But before Hollie could rspond, the director came in.

"Hollie, get ready, in 10 minutes, we'll start. Josh is already on the set." he said and went away.

"Josh..always Josh.." Morgan murmured.

"Hollie, let's go." Jenica said.Hollie went out with her ignoring Morgan.

As they were outside, she smiled, seeing people having fan at the beach. The water was calm and clear. From afar, she accidentally spotted Josh. He smiled as their eyes met. She beamed and approach him.

"Good morning..seems like you're much ready than I." she said seeing that he was still holding the script.

"Yes, of course..this is our first project together. I will be with the prettiest lady on earth." he said excitedly.

"Yeah right. I know we can make this popular!" she winked.

"Hmm.. sure about that too. You seem to have a good mood today." he observed.

"something just happened last night.." she blurted out.

"last night?" he wrinkled.

"Ohhh..I'm sorry, I mean today..this morning.." she laughed hiding her nervousness.

"I see. I thought you we're referring to me." he laughed.

"Hey, I think, 1st scene...camera rolling now.." she said changing the topic.

"You're preempting the director.." he chuckled.

Minutes passed, they started shooting. Hollie and Joshua were so focused until Hollie saw Morgan again looking at them deeply. She was so disturbed of the way he looked at them.

"Hollie...this is about summer fling...why do you seem to ignore Josh?" the director called her attention.

"Oh I'm sorry..." she said feeling so embarrassed.

"So..are you gonna go out with me,,,or go out with me, or..go out with me..'coz you;re driving me crazy." Josh said with his eyes almost melting her. Hollie turned speechless. She was shocked of his statement.

"Earth..why?" she blurted out.

"Cut!" the director shouted.

"That should not be your response!" he added. "You should say, Danny, we just met.."
