Chapter Two --Josh and Hollie on Seeing Each Other Again

Chapter Two

It was already midnight but Hollie couldn't sleep. First, she thought of her dinner with Morgan. She was not really in the mood because he was the only one who did the talking. She felt like she offended him as implied by his silence while they were inside his car. Second, she could not stop thinking of the note Josh gave her years ago. She kept on recalling where did she place it. She rose from bed and began looking for it in a big box where she stored her files. There, she saw their photos during the contest and concert tours. But the note was not there. Suddenly, she heard someone knocking on her door.

"Oh..come in..."

"Girl, what are you doing?" Jessica Sanchez asked. She decided to stay at Hollie's house for a night since she will have a photo shoot for a magazine the following day at McKinney. "I'm looking for something. I'm so sorry, we weren't able to talk that much. This is sucha busy day for me." Hollie frowned.

"Yeah. I also observed that." Jessica chuckled. "Don't feel bad. I will force you to treat me for lunch tomorrow."

"Sure...sure...I promise. Morgan and I will not see each other tomorrow." Hollie replied still fixing documents inside the box.

"Okay. That's great. I'm lucky that you're not yet asleep this time. What's keeping you busy?" Jessica wrinkled then she saw photos slipped from Hollie's hands.

"Hmm.. Josh Ledet.." Jessica laughed.

"What does that suppose to mean?" Hollie said nervously. She even found herself ridiculous for being so affected of Jessica's laughter.

"I should be the one asking you that. You're reminiscing?!!" Jessica said and sat beside her on the floor.

"Okay..." Hollie grinned. "Sort of..but not so...I'm I'm just looking for something he gave me long ago."

"What is it?" Jessica asked curiously.

"Jess, I can't really say it. Awkward." Hollie continued searching.

"Someday I'll figure it out." Jessica teased still observing Hollie.

After few minutes, Hollie's phone rang.

"Oh no!" Hollie exclaimed, her heart beating so fast.

"Who is it? Don't tell me it's Josh.." Jessica's eyes widened.

"What if, it's yes, should I answer immediately?" Hollie asked.

"Let me.." Jessica said and Hollie gave the phone to her.

"Hi Josh..." Jessica answered, awaiting to hear his voice.

"Hey... Hollie..." he said with excitement in his voice. Jessica kept signaling on Hollie that it was really Josh.

"Oh..Josh..good, you're here..I'm so excited to meet you again!" Jessica winked controlling her laughter.

"Hey!" Hollie said attempting to get the phone from Jess.

"How are you? Hmm.. you're still up..."Josh replied.

"Yeah..I've been sleepless these days. I really don't know why." Jessica said imitating Hollie's voice.

"Jess!" Hollie said but Jessica covered her mouth.

"Can we meet up?"

"Oh sure..Josh...where and when?" Jessica asked excitedly.

"At Preston. I have something very important to tell you...can I meet you tomorrow lunch?" he asked.

"Sure, it's a deal. thanks..." Jessica said and ended the call and began jumping on the bed while laughing.
