Chapter 10

Hollie smiled after she received calls from Courtney and Jessica. She stayed by the window at the living room while waiting for Josh. She shared everything that had happened. She hoped that Josh wasn't able to hear or see her giggling while narrating those sweet moments to her friends. She was so excited about what's going to happen next, wishing that they could stay in the island a little longer.

"Hollie..." Josh said as he entered the house.

"Oh..hey...where's Dr. Frederick?" she asked.

"He went home. He's in a hurry..." he replied with a smile.

"I thought he's going to eat with us. I prepared something for the three of us." she said.

"It's okay. You may cook for him the next day. He will be back." he said. "I'm sorry if it took us so long. Are you bored in here?" he asked.

"Oh no... Jay and Courtney called. So timely 'coz I miss them, so much.." she grinned.

"Oh..that's nice. By the way, would you like to watch a movie?" he offered.

"Yes, of course! I'll bring the food here... wait .." she said excitedly. While she was in the kitchen, her cell phone, which she left on the center table rang, Josh was tempted to take a look at who was calling, it was Courtney.

"Josh,,please answer that for me.." she shouted.

"Are you sure?" he wrinkled.

"Yes.."

When he was about to say hello, excited Courtney blurted out quickly,

"Hollie...so what's happening now?!!! Is Josh there already?! Come on tell me, did he kiss you?!! Oh my!!!! I'm really fangirling now!!!! This is sooooooooo true!!! You told me a while ago you dreamt of him? Well, it has to be a dream come true!!! You love him so much." she said laughing. Josh beamed, he could not say something. He felt hesitant to say even a single word. Then he saw Hollie approaching and placed the tray with plates of hot Cheetos on the table. They were staring at each other.

"Who's calling?!" she bit her lower lip.

"Courtney.." he smiled.

"Oh...give me that.." she panicked and took the phone from him. He controlled his laughter seeing how tensed she was as she headed to the terrace.

"Hey..Court.." she whispered.

"Who was that?" Courtney replied.

"Josh.."

"Oh no!"

"What did you tell him?" she asked nervously.

"That you love him...I'm sorry, Hollie...arghhhh.."

"Goshhhh what to do now?" she said and began fidgeting.

She was thinking of an excuse when suddenly she was frightened that he was right in front of her. His eyes were teasing.

"Is it true?" he asked.

"Court...got to go now.." she said and ended the call. "what?" she said turning to him, hiding her nervousness.

"Nothing. Let's just watch a movie.." he beamed. She sighed in relief hoping that he will not bring it up again.

She felt a little awkward as they sat on the couch. They don't know if they'll sit closely to each other, or just apart.

"I think it's great to sit on the floor.." Josh chuckled, and he did.

"Yeah.. so what are we going to watch?" she asked.
