(Third Person POV)
Light dawned and shone through the window outside the computer. It was finally here after a long night, the beautiful morning.
Every sentry the Resistance had set was still on watch at their post. Three, the other Yellow, Red, and Blue were guarding the computer from the skies of the Internet, and two, the other Second and Green guarding the exit of the computer to the internet carefully. One other, Chosen, was hidden away in the files, on watch for any other attacks that may sneak through. The team had protected every core file, normal file, and program the computer had to offer with strong encryption that had multiple layers. Unfortunately, with this encryption, nothing was able to be opened or edited without special combinations, but it was better than having it all deleted forever.
Meanwhile, in the same room, the main 5 were tired, yet awake, still chatting quietly.
Second looked at the door anxiously and yawned. Maybe he should have slept. He'd laid his head on Green's shoulder. The others were just chatting, predictions, games they had played to stay up the night before, new gear, anything to keep them from dozing off. Second was indifferent. He would've told them everything he knew, and yet, something stopped him. This feeling was indescribable. Was it guilt? Woriness? Or was it just him wanting to keep everything to himself. It felt so different, he normally told his friends everything. Today was different, and so very odd.
The door slammed open. The other Green glared at them, panicked.
"Everyone out, NOW. Grab your weapons and get out on the field. Second, follow me, Chosen has your protective pin."
All of them jumped up at once and rushed out. Second grabbed Green's hand tightly and followed him as reluctant as he was. Quickly, Green launched him up to the computer's files where Chosen was located. Once he was there, Chosen seized him by the arm and dragged him to a corner. He handed him the pin with the button on the back.
"Here."
Second put it on his chest and pressed the button once Chosen was a good distance away. Of course, the pin worked just like yesterday.
Meanwhile, from the skies, the three observed with shock as the threat closed in.
"How many do the three of you see?" The Other Second spoke into the receiver.
"Uh.. looks like something over.. 30." Red responded.
"Way over 30.. predicting at least 50? Not in waves, he's sent them all in one go. They don't look like tier 10." Yellow added
"Do they look stronger or weaker?"
"Way stronger. This looks like an attack made for a website, not a single computer." Yellow added again.
"Defend the outside as well as you can. Who knows what that maniac has concocted this time. If you get overwhelmed, retreat inside for assistance."
"Yes sir!"
Taking a deep breath, the three looked at each other and nodded. Red and Blue hopped off the map while Yellow started to build and reinforce a quick shield to defend the entrance.
Red flicked out his arms and enabled his armor. Controllable, shiny, code tipped claws sprouted from the metal bands on his wrists, along with fins on his head and back, and a long metal shark tail, all tipped with code. Blue reached for his potions, throwing one at Red and giving him a buff. Red, full of confidence, tried to slash through one of the viruses, however it would only make a tiny dent in the armored shell it rested and traveled inside.
