Chapter 1

It was a beautiful day at the Institute of Perfection. Lou was walking around with his best friend, Ox. They were having a conversation until Lou decided to check on the newcomer dolls.

"Hey, Ox, why don't we go check on the new dolls?"

"Sure pal."

They went to the scanner and watched the dolls. Lou was watching carefully until his eyes landed on a specific doll. She was different and she was the most pretty doll that Lou has ever seen. Ox noticed him and looked at where he was looking.

Lou's POV:

Wow...that doll is pretty. I've never seen anyone like her

I was continuously staring at the female doll who is now walking toward the institute.

"Uh, Lou? You ok pal?" Ox asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," I replied, still looking at the doll.

I can't help it. She was just too beautiful even though she wasn't perfect like the rest of the dolls. Suddenly, the doll looked at me.

I can't speak and I feel like I can't move. It's like I've been paralyzed by this doll. Then finally, I snapped out of it and shook my head.

"Hi," she spoke and waved shyly.

I looked around to see who she was waving at. Then Ox gave me a nudge on the arm.

"Lou, she was waving at you," he then whispered.

"O-oh, h-hi!" I waved back at her.

She then giggled and walked toward us.

"Hi, I'm Mandy," she said.

"Hi, I'm Lou and this is my best friend, Ox," I said as I introduced Ox.

"Nice to meet you two. Sorry, I just noticed that you were staring at me. Is there a problem?" Mandy said shyly.

"Oh, s-sorry, no, not at all. It's just that you look different from the rest of the dolls," I replied, getting embarrassed.

"O-oh, I see."

"Don't worry Mandy, my friend here is not a creep. He's actually the leader of this institute," Ox said.

"O-oh, my apologies," Mandy said, bowing her head.

"N-no need to be sorry!" I said, shaking my hands in front.

Gosh, she was so cute when she was shy

"Why don't we give you a tour?" I asked.

"Oh, you two can go. I have some mayor business to do," Ox said.

"Oh, ok. See ya Ox!" I waved him goodbye.

"Have fun you two!" Ox shouted.

I blushed.

Was he doing that on purpose?

I cleared my throat.

"Shall we?" I gestured for my hand.

Mandy just nodded.

We walked around the institute and I showed her the portal. After that, I showed her the class and the training area. On every tour, I explained to her all the information and she listens attentively. And finally, I showed her the gauntlet. After hours of giving her a tour, it was already getting dark so I walked her home.

"Thanks for walking me home, Lou. And for the tour," Mandy smiled.

"You're welcome," I smiled back.

"I really enjoyed spending time with you. Is it ok if we hang out again tomorrow?" she asked.

She wants to spend time with me?

"Yes, of course! That would be great!" I happily said.

"Really? I'll see you tomorrow then," she said.

Then Mandy went to her house and waved me goodbye. I waved back.

"Goodnight Lou"

She then closed the door and I started to walk away. While walking my way home, I can't help but blush. Thankfully, there are only a few dolls outside so no one noticed me. After I got home, I quickly went to bed.
