Chapter 6

Lou's POV:

No...this can't be happening. Mandy is with another guy? No! Lou! You mustn't think like that, they're just talking. But what if they're flirting? No! I'm pretty sure she just met the guy so there's no way. At least...not yet.

Lou? Are you ok?

Lou?

Lou!

"Huh??" 

"I said are you ok?" Ox asked again.

"Uh, yeah. Just space out for a moment" I nervously laughed.

I was so deep in thought just by looking at them, that I didn't even notice that Ox was talking to me. Man, I'm really distracted today.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Ox asked once again, checking if I'm really ok.

"Yeah, totally. Anyways, let's just go" I said, walking away from the scene, hoping to make my negative thoughts go away.

I was speed walking towards the stage, where I always perform. And after a few minutes, Mandy and Nolan are finally out of our sight. I sighed in relief.

"You're not jealous are you?" Ox asked with a smirk.

"N-no! I'm not! I'm definitely NOT jealous at all!" I said while crossing my arms in annoyance.

"That's what you get from not confessing to your crush~" Ox teased.

"Ox, I already told you, I can't right now. Not yet. Besides, I'm pretty sure they're just friends. Good for her." I replied.

"Whatever you say, Lou. I still think it's better if you just told her already." Ox shrugged.

"There's always a right time for everything, Ox," I said.

At night in Lou's mansion

I thought about what Ox had said and I'm starting to think if it would make a difference if I told Mandy how I feel yesterday. Should I just confess? But I don't think it's the right time.

"Urrgghhh! What am I doing? Is this what it feels like to have a crush on someone?"

I sighed.

"I'll just get some rest. Maybe that will lessen my worries"

I then went to bed.

The next day, Lou woke up with no worries at all. He was right, sleeping helps him lessen his worries about Mandy. So Lou was in a good mood. He then got ready for the class. On his way to class, he came across Moxy.

Lou's POV:

"Hey, Lou!"

"Moxy, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Just taking a visit. And you?"

"Same as usual, Mox. You know that" I replied.

"Oh, right. Heading for class, I see"

"Yup"

Moxy and I are walking side by side, and I was really in a good mood. Not until I saw them...

Oh no...not again

"Lou? Is everything ok?" Moxy asked as soon as I stopped walking.

No Mox, everything is not ok...

"Uh, yeah, just saw something uncomfortable," I said, hiding the fact that something is definitely wrong.

Moxy then turn to look at where I was looking.

"Is that Mandy?"

Then Moxy ran towards her and Nolan.

Oh great. Just great...

I followed her, just to make sure she doesn't cause a scene.

"Hey, Mandy!" Moxy greeted, waving her hand.

"Hey Moxy" Mandy smiled.

Gosh, she looks beautiful as always

"Who's this? Is he a new friend of yours?" Moxy asked, looking at Nolan.

"Oh, this is Nolan. He is new here" Mandy introduced him.

"Hi there Nolan! Have you ever been to Uglyville?" Moxy said, full of joy.

"No, I haven't" Nolan simply replied.

"How bout I gave you a tour?" Moxy suggested.

"Sure, that'll be great!" Nolan exclaimed.

"Great! Oh and uh Mandy? Can you walk Lou to class?"

"Oh, sure" Mandy smiled.

Mandy and I went to class while Moxy and Nolan went to the tunnel. But before they get far, I looked back at Moxy and saw that she winked at me.

Huh? What was that for? Wait! Does she know?

Thankfully, Mandy was looking forward so she didn't see that. I cleared my throat and started a conversation.

"So, you got a new friend I see," I said, trying not to sound rude or anything.

"Nolan? Oh yeah, he's nice, and did you notice that his eyes are different?" Mandy asked.

"Wow, really? I didn't notice. Uh...what about it?" I asked.

"Well, I'm just glad that I'm no longer the only "imperfect" doll around here" she explained.

"Oh, I see"

We were silent for a moment until I suddenly asked her...

"Do you perhaps like someone?"

"Huh? Why'd you ask?"

"Oh uh, no reason. I'm just curious if one of my closest friends has a crush on anyone" I said, trying my best to not blow my cover.

"Well...there is one but I don't know if he likes me back..."

My heart shuttered.

She likes someone else?

"Oh, do I know this doll, by any chance?" I asked, hiding the fact that I was jealous and hurt.

"Well...he is-"

The bell to my class suddenly rings.

Dang it!

"Sorry, Lou. I'll talk to you later"

She then walks the opposite way.

"Uh yeah. See ya..."

During class, I can't help but think about Mandy. So far, I know that she likes someone else and that it was a guy. And all I could think of is Nolan. After class, as I was walking back to my mansion, I met Moxy again.

"Hi again"

"Hey Mox"

"Sooooo, how's your walk with Mandy?" she asked, almost teasingly.

"Judging by your reactions, I'm assuming that Ox told you that I have a crush on Mandy," I said, crossing my arms, and looking annoyed.

"Well, of course. He's my brother after all"

"Of course," I said while rolling my eyes.

"So how was it?" Moxy asked once again.

"It was fine, we talked for a little bit until I have to go and teach the class" I explained, still crossing my arms.

"So you didn't tell her how you feel?" she asked, looking shocked.

"What's the point? She likes someone else" I sadly said.

"Really? Who was it?"

"Well, she didn't mention any name because she was interrupted by the bell but it was a guy" I explained.

"Who knows? Maybe you're the one she's talking about" Moxy insisted.

"I don't know, Mox. It feels impossible for Mandy to like me back" I sighed.

She'll probably never like a guy like me...I feel so hopeless...
