Chapter 9

The next day

Lou's POV:

I was at my house with Ox and Moxy to discuss something important. And by important, I mean my confession plan for Mandy.

"Ox, Moxy, thank you for coming," I said.

They were both sitting on the couch and I was in the middle on another couch. We were talking in my living room.

"No problem, Lou," Moxy said giving me a smile.

"We're always happy to help you. Even though I already know what all of this is about" Ox said, crossing his arms.

"Really?" Moxy asked as she looked at Ox confused.

"Well, you're my best friend, Ox. So it's no surprise that you know everything about me and what I wanted to say or do" I shrugged.

Moxy was looking at us in confusion.

"Guys, I don't get it. What's all this is about?"

Ox glance at her with a serious look on his face.

"Lou's love life" he finally revealed.

Moxy thought for a moment by putting her index finger and thumb under her chin.

"Oh! I see, ok, ok, I get it now. It's about Mandy!" she finally got the hint.

"Yes, and I'm assuming Lou needed us because he's got a plan. So what is it?" Ox said.

"Actually, I called you two just in case. But yes, you're right, I need you both" I explained.

They listen to me attentively.

I clapped my hands together.

"Ok, so...I'm planning to confess today. And to do that, I need you two to stop anyone or anything that will get in the way of me and Mandy. For example, if Nolan is there, I need you two to distract him, got it?" I asked, making sure that they understood.

"Not a problem" Ox reassured.

"You can count on us!" Moxy said.

"Ok, with that being said, let's go," I said.

Then we all got up and went to find Mandy.

Meanwhile

Mandy's POV:

"You should totally do it, Mandy," Nolan said.

"Do what, exactly?" I asked.

Nolan and I are walking at the institute. I stopped in my tracks and listen to what he is saying.

"You should confess to Lou how you feel," he said as he stopped walking.

I sighed.

"I don't know, Nolan. He's too good for me and I don't think I have a chance anyway..." I said, feeling sad.

Then he walked towards me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Mandy, you already have a chance. I already said it and I'll say it again. You may not know it but judging from how Lou was treating you lately, he likes you and I can tell!" he said, encouraging me.

I just smiled at him.

"Now let me ask you this..." he said.

I looked at him.

"How do you feel whenever you two are together?" he asked.

"I feel...happy"

"Ok, and does anyone else make you feel that way?"

"N-no..."

I mean...I am happy whenever I'm with Moxy and the others but with Lou? It just felt...different...

"Do you think you two can be more than friends?"

"I-i don't know..." I said, looking at the ground.

"But do you want to tell him how you feel?"

"Yes..." I replied.

"Finally, do you like- no, actually, the real question is...do you love him?"

I sighed and I was silent for a moment then I said...

"Yes"

Wait, Mandy felt the same?
