*Lucys POV

We stopped shooting as the last man dropped. We moved out from behind the wall and cuffed all the men who were still conscious and called multiple ambulances.

"Where is he?" A man yelled, entering the station. He looked down and with a shock, he continued.

"What are you doing? I thought you were joking! You were really gonna kill two cops?!" The man yelled louder. I stepped toward him, ready to calm him down.

"Sir, I'm gonna need you to step back and talk to me." I said as the man backed up a few feet.

"I had nothing to do with it! I promise!-" the man started.

"Don't tell them anything!" One of the men on the ground said, gritting his teeth in pain.

"-my brother, he said he was tired of getting called one percent or something? He told me how he was gonna come here and- well- you figured that out already." He said, waving his hand over the station.

Me and Tim looked at each other and took a moment to comprehend everything completely. We pulled ourselves together and finished processing the scene, it was weird processing your own station.

Tanners brother was still standing around, waiting for an officer to escort him to a room to be questioned and to give a statement. Angela walked up to me, still shaking. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the briefing room. I sat down and tried to calm down while Angela grabbed her water bottle.

"Here Lucy, take this." She said, handing me a water bottle and a pill.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It will calm you down and it's totally safe for the baby." She said as I swallowed the pill. I calmed down a bit and stood up, ready to get back to work. When I stood up I was immediately light headed and almost fainted.

"Lucy are you okay? No. You have to go home, I'll get Tim!" Angela got up and hurried out of the room. Tim rushed in soon after.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

"I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm just a little light headed like I am every other day around this time, a little Tylenol will help. I'm not going home." Tim nodded and grabbed my Tylenol.

*Two hours later*

Everything had calmed down. Tanner and his gang were in custody. Statements were given, and it had been a regular work day. It was finally ready to go home when baby Jackson ran in.

"Hey buddy!" I exclaimed, picking him up. I held the, now three year old, and walked over to Wesley who was waiting for Angela.

"Hey Lucy! Congrats on the promotion Detective!" Wesley said.

"Thank you Wesley. Do you want me to get Angela? I think she might be in the lunch room." I asked.

"No actually I'm here to talk to you," He started. "Angela never got a real honey moon, and I know it's a bit late but I'm thinking about taking her to Paris. Would you watch Jack?"

"Of course I would! I need the practice and Angela definitely deserves a break. When would you guys be going?" I asked.

"That's great! We wouldn't go for another few months until you were just on maternity leave so you wouldn't be too stressed and it would only be one or two weeks. She doesn't know yet so don't tell her."

"My lips are sealed! Have fun when you do go." I said, setting Jack down as he ran to Angela who appeared suddenly.

"Don't tell me what?" She asked, picking Jack up.

"Nothing. 🤐 (don't know how to describe this so just imagine she did this)" I said, walking out of the room and to Tim's truck.

"Hey, ready to go home?" He asked.

"Beyond ready!"
