[That's what Dr. Kai Forrest looks like]
I heard monitors beeping. I was in the hospital again.
"She's awake!" I heard someone say. I opened my eyes. The boys were standing over me. I hated being in a hospital.
"What happened this time?" I asked sarcastically.
Noah smirked before saying, "You passed out because you lost a lot of blood."
"Can I leave now?" I asked.
"Not quite yet, we're going to monitor you for a bit, and then you can go home." Noah said. I sighed.
"Does Ash have to be here?" I complained.
"Ouch." Ash said sarcastically. I glared at him and then flipped him off.
"I hate you! I wish we never met!" I yelled.
"Calm down." Theo said. Then someone walked into the room. He was holding a clipboard. I glared at him.
"Who are you?" I said bitterly.
"Why are you being so hostile?" Ash asked.
"Shut up you idiot!" I yelled back at him. I stared at the guy who had walked in.
"This is dr. Forrest," Noah said, "He works for child protective services." I glared at him. I backed into a wall as he came closer to me. I backed myself into a corner of the room.
"It's alright, I'm here to help you." he said. He crouched down Infront of me. I started shaking without noticing. He sat there and did nothing until my defensive mode switched off. He got up and looked at his watch.
"Nine minutes," he said to the boys, "Nine minutes for her to stop being defensive and afraid." He walked up to me again. I instinctively switched to a position where it would be easy for me to get up and run.
"You're safe, I won't hurt you." he said calmly. He rose his hand. I flinched. He wrote something down on his clipboard.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions." he said to me. I slowly nodded, looking at the boys.
"By the way, my name is Kai." he said. Kai stood up and held his hand out to me. I stood up and ignored his non-verbal offer to hold my hand. He took me into another room and told the boys to stay there. I sat down on a chair in the room. Being alone with him made me uncomfortable.
"Is it ok if I ask a few questions?" he asked. I nodded in reply. I looked all around the room.
"Have any of the boys ever hit you?" he asked. I shook my head, I wasn't expecting that.
"Have any of the boys ever tried to hurt you physically or mentally on purpose?" he asked. I thought for a minute. They had never tried to hurt me intentionally. I shook my head.
"Is there a reason why you aren't talking to me?" he asked. I could feel my cheeks getting red. For some reason that question had made me really nervous. I got up quickly and ran to the door. I tried to open it but it was locked. I saw him get up, he was walking towards me. I desperately tried to unlock the door but it wasn't working. I saw him getting even closer.
"It's ok, I'm not going to hurt you, you're ok." he said. I could hear ringing in my ears the world started to get big. Everything was so loud. I dropped to the floor on my knees. I squeezed my eyes shut and put my head in my arms. I could tell that I was breathing really fast. I started to feel dizzy and lightheaded. I could feel someone touch me. I looked up. Dr. Forrest was hugging me, my head was resting on his shoulder.
My breathing normalized and Dr. Forrest let me go. He looked me in the eye, I looked away, I hated making I contact.
"Please tell me what you are feeling right now." he said.
"Scared." I replied.
"Can you tell me why?" he asked.
"I don't know."
