Atticus made his way to his own room, his lips still feeling warm and tingly. The reality of what happened only hit him as he sat on the edge of his bed.

'He was just drunk...surely" Atticus wondered to himself, heat rising in his cheeks as he recalled the past few seconds.

Shaking his head, Atticus stretched out on the bed on his stomach, resting his head on his arms.

"Why did he do that?" Atticus thought. "He had to go make things even more difficult. I was going to stay here, but now I can't do that, can I?".

Atticus hugged his pillow, contemplating what he should do in this turn of events.

"I like him as a friend, which is why I can't stay." He said aloud as if to reassert the statement.

With that, Atticus stood up, and walked out of the apartment with purpose, leaving no note or trace he had previously been there. He had made his decision.

                                                                                                   ~

"I choose option 1." He stated, out of breath from the run there, the humid air surrounding him making it all that much harder to breathe.

Hades materialised onto his throne, "Good evening to you too. Which one was that again?" the god yawned, still in his attire from earlier.

"Option 1, Fields of Asphodel.". Atticus clarified.

Hades peered down at Atticus as if confused by his decision, "Are you certain?".

"Yes," Atticus said, backed by nothing but pure adrenaline.

"What a boring conclusion," Hades sighed. "Are you sure? You can't decide you want to come back here afterwards."

"Yes," Atticus said again. "Why would I want to come back here?".

At that, Hades wrinkled his nose at Atticus, "The Underworld isn't that bad, you know. Anyway, congratulations on choosing your path. Would you like to say goodbye to Dianthus before you go?".

"No thank you," Atticus said, a small blush rising on his cheeks.

Hades' eyebrows knitted together, but he continued, "Okay, then, farewell Atticus, it was a pleasure."

Before Atticus could respond, he felt a warmth envelop him, and he was transported to the Fields of Asphodel and the eternity that awaited him.
