"You- you can see me?" the woman asked in disbelief, staring at Atticus.

"Umm, yes?" Atticus replied uncertainly.

"That's... odd. Very odd." The woman murmured.

"Excuse me, but who are you?" Atticus questioned.

"I'm Persephone," she responded as if she didn't just say she was a goddess.

Atticus immediately bowed, and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't recognise you.".

Atticus could see now, that she looked different to those around them, and not just due to her dissimilar clothing. The goddess had a golden aura about her, something that would draw anyone in regardless. Her skin seems to glow with radiance and youth as if born a mere decade ago. Though her emerald green eyes shone with honesty, kindness, and tales of old, fitting for the goddess of spring.

Persephone laughed, a warm laugh similar to her husband's, "There's no need for all that. Just think of me like a friend".

"Okay, so... why are you here?" Atticus asked.

"I come here to observe everyone once in a while. I just arrived here actually because winter started.".

Atticus remembered the story that Dianthus had told him about Persephone and the pomegranates and nodded.

"So, what's your name?" The god asked.

"Atticus." The nervous male replied.

Something flickered in Persephone's eyes, before she answered, "Okay, and what are you doing here?".

Atticus explained his situation, as the two sat down on the grass, Persephone leaning up against the trunk of a tree. He had gotten up to the part where he mentioned the three decisions he had when the goddess interrupted him.

"Hang on," Persephone interjected, as she stopped making the crown of daisies she had begun working on. "Why wouldn't you choose option 3? That sounds a lot better than here and a lot safer than option 2.".

"Well," Atticus sighed. "Something... happened that made me choose this option.", he looked down at his feet.

"Oh?" Persephone implored, intrigued.

"My- friend did something I didn't like," Atticus said.

"And you left them?"

"Yeah..." Atticus finished. Hearing him say it aloud, it did seem unreasonable.

Persephone nodded sweetly, resuming creating the crown of daisies, "Well, you should think about whether the action this friend did was worth leaving over.".

"Mm," Attics agreed, watching Persephone's intricate fingers, as she finished the crown.

The goddess then stood up, placing the crown on top of Atticus' head, and said, "I'll be back in a week, so tell me what you decide to do, and I'll see what I can do to help you.".

Atticus smiled and thanked the goddess. She then bid him farewell, as she disappeared in an obscure cloud of white smoke.
