Beatrice P.O.V.

Yes, finally we were going on vacation. I thought. We could finally get outta this town for a while. I am tired of being stuck here with nothing to do. I can still remember when my mom and dad told me we were going on vacation.

*Flashback*

"Beatrice, we need to talk to you. Please come down here." My mom called to me from downstairs. I walked down the stairs and into the living room. My parents were sitting on the sofa. "Sit down please." Caleb walked into the house just then. "Caleb, please have a seat. We need to tell you and Beatrice something." I bounced my leg in anticipation. Caleb sat next to me and put his hand on my leg to calm me down. I nodded at him and stopped bouncing my leg.

"We are going to California for a few weeks. I have a meeting that will last for a while and I decided to take you all with me this time. We will leave in one week so please be prepared. Bring all the necessary items. You can tell your friends that you are leaving." My father said pausing, letting us take it all in. He resumed talking after a few moments of silence. "We bought you both phones. You are going to be alone a lot while we are in California and we are going to need a way to communicate. You will receive your phones the day before we leave. We believe you are both old enough, and responsible enough to have them. Don't let us down."

*End of Flashback*

"Beatrice, Caleb it's time to leave. Come on." My dad yelled. We were in a rush to the airport. We had put our bags in the car the other day. We were told that we would get our phones in the car. I couldn't wait to receive them. We got into the car and started our trip to the airport.

"Here, Beatrice, this is yours." My mom said handing me a box. "Caleb, this is yours." She said giving him a different box. "You both got different phones with different abilities. Beatrice, your phone is unbreakable and you will find out what you can do with it in time. Caleb, your phone is not unbreakable because we know that you will take great care of it. You will also find out what you can do." We opened the boxes and pulled out our phones. I had an IPhone 5S and Caleb had an IPhone 5C.

I turned on my phone and it said, Hello Beatrice. How may I assist you today? I looked at it for a moment and then at my mother. I noticed she was watching me. She nodded to the phone. I looked at it again and it had a small button for me to press. I pressed it and a keyboard popped up. I typed a reply to the phone. I need no assistance at the moment, Thank you. I turned my phone off after we pulled up to the airport. I had learned how to text, call, take pictures, and log onto the internet.

" Anyone attending flight 46 to California, please make your way to gate 6. Your plane will be departing in thirty minutes." The people called over the intercom. I put my phone in the box and walked through security. I got by with no problem. I got my phone in my pocket and walked to gate 6. I got in my seat and I noticed that I wasn't sitting by my family. The seat next to my was not occupied but the one by the isle was. A man sat in the seat, I couldn't see what he looked like. I sat back and closed my eyes. This will be a long ride, I thought as I drifted to sleep.

*******TIME SKIP*******

Where are my bags, I wonder. I walk around to look for them again only to see a guy grab it off the baggage claim. I stand there waiting for him to realize that he has my bag. I soon realize after looking back at the baggage claim that he did not indeed take my bag, he just has one like mine. I grab my bag and look at it to make sure that it is mine. I see a tag on in and it reads Tobias Eaton. I realize that I don't have my bag and the guy, Tobias has mine. I look around for him but I can't find him. I see his number on the tag so I pull out my phone and call the number.

It rings a few times.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

"Hello?" A deep voice answers the phone. It is defiantly a man.

"Tobias?" I ask. I know that the chances that this isn't him are low but I have to make sure in case.

"Speaking." He answered. I knew it, I thought.

"Hi, this is Beatrice. I seemed to have gotten your bag and not mine. Do you possibly have the wrong bag?" I know he must have mine. I seen him take it. Well I didn't know if it was him but I hoped it was.

"Freak," was all I heard from the other line. I think he noticed he had my bag. "This is Beatrice Prior?" He asked me, he sounded ashamed.

"The one and only. Could we possibly meet up so that we could switch bags?" I didn't want to get stuck with his luggage.

"I'm so sorry. I'm no longer at the airport. I left as soon as I seen the bag. I didn't think anyone would have the same bag as I did. I had it specially made just for the reason." I knew this was bad, but I wasn't worried.

"Could we meet up tomorrow? I can't meet you today ." I knew my parents would never let me leave on the first day here. I knew I would share a room with Caleb, but he would never let me leave alone at night to meet with a stranger. I couldn't say I blamed him.

"Yes. That would work. I am at my hotel so I have to go. I will contact you tomorrow and we can discuss meeting up. Goodnight, Beatrice. Goodbye." he said and then he hung up. I sighed and met up with my parents.
