Chapter One: A Clean Slate

{Bella's p.o.v}

Yes. Finally 18. Out of the house and on to college. It sounds like an exaggeration to say that I had waited all my all my life for this first day but it's true. I would finally have a chance to create myself and hopefully fit in. A clean slate.

"Hey Ren! Are you excited."

"Yes obviously but you are way to perky for nine in the morning."

"Agreed but today is special. Have you seen Luke? I wanna say hi before class." I plead hinting I need to know where he is.

"Yea but he was hanging out with the schools "punk" so I didn't wanna interrupt"

"You mean the one with the galaxy hair?"

"Yea the frick frackle Jensen Ackle hair thats totally amazing. I think his name is Michael." Renny says obviously jealous of Michaels hair.

"I don't know. I haven't met him formally but based of all my summer's dedication to stalking Luke's friends that sounds like his name."

"Okay babe I will see you later. Gotta get to class and there is no way I'm running so"

"Me to don't wanna be late. see you later at the dorm or for lunch maybe bye fairy."

I hug Ren then leave of to my first class which is musical theory. So should be fun. I'm nervous to be alone again.

    So turns out that Michael kid is in my first two classes he is quiet for the most part but when he does speak it's usually sarcastic or snappy.{not that I mind or am much different}. Class is fine A LOT of work but it's better then my other options. I shudder at the thought of returning home. I texted Renny and Luke saying we should meet at the dorm for lunch. I pray Luke makes my favorite lunch food (grilled cheese and tomato soup) and then helps me torture Ren with the tomatoes (which she hates).

"Hey Luke! Didn't see you this morning. How were your first classes?" I say to prevent any awkward silence.

"I left early to meet with my band mates and my classes were fine. But guess what?"

"What?" the words come out slow and nervous. I hate surprises.

"I made your favorite" he says right as Ren walked in and threw down her stuff.

"Noooo" she complained

"Thanks your the best lets sit down and talk" I say relived that the surprise was good. I grab a bowl of soup and a plate of grilled cheese.

"Good idea Bells. Ren grab your food I made sure yours had tomato soup dripped on the bread" Luke said teasingly at Renny.

"Nooooo ewwwww shut up" Ren said pouting and flipping us both off.

"Hey Ren" Luke said softly "I noticed you threw your stuff down when you came in are you okay?"

Damn he was good at reading body language. Renny began telling us what happened during her second period.
