Chapter Eight: Pre-party

{Bella's p.o.v}

At last it was Friday, the evening of Friday to be specific. My last class {public speaking} finished and I had just arrived home. I walk in throwing my stuff down watching it land on top of Renny's. She must have done the same thing. We exchange hellos as I take a seat next to her on the couch.

"So Cal and Ash are having a band party." I say to her.

"I know" she says back continuing to watch Doctor Who.

"Are you going to come?" I ask hoping she says yes.

"No don't plan on it" She says this time looking at me.

"Pleeeaaaseee" I drag on the word in a beggy tone "I don't want to be alone."

"I don't want to. You will have Luke" Ren says in an ever so whiney tone "plus I am pretty sure jerk butt will be there or at least that is what I heard and I don't feel like having my self esteemed lowered anymore than it is already"

"Oh sorry. Maybe next time. If you want I can stay here with you" I say feeling bad she can't go because of Hudson.

"No I'm good. Have fun and be safe please." She says smiling at me.

I leave Renny on the couch to binge watch Netflix. I start pack my things in my little traveling backpack. I throw in a swimsuit {not expecting to have to use it, ever}, pajamas, shorts and some extra shirts. I also thought it a good idea to bring some soap and granola bars because I want to stay clean and avoid total starvation. I really have no idea what to expect probably a lot of people and drinking two things I'm not super fond of but I really want a new chance here so I am taking every opportunity. As I finish packing my bags I here a soft knock on the door.

"Come in" I say to probably Luke.

"Hi Bells, are you almost ready Ashton, Calum, you and I will be carpooling if that is okay." He says smiling at me.

"Yea Luke that sounds fine and I just finished packing, shall we" I say extending my arm linking it into his elbow and walking out the door each of us saying goodbye to Renny.

We begin our hour drive to the cabin. Along the way we stop because Calum wanted to grab cups for the party and Luke had to pee. We listened to Blink 182 and The Offspring's greatest hits and the boys showed me the new song they were working on that they used voice memos to record. How professional.

"Wow the song sounds amazing I want more of them. I'm so proud." I say after the song stopped playing and Luke unhooked his phone from the AUX chord.

"Thanks it means a lot. we might do a bit of preforming tonight it depends on how Michael feels. He gets a little shy. We all do. Anyway maybe you'll get to meet him tonight" Ashton states 

"Yea maybe. Except we have met before. I don't think he likes me." I say and all three boys burst into laughter.

"What it's true. You guys are my best friends and he just avoids or snaps at me. I don't get why you think this is so funny" I say glaring at the nonstop giggling boys in confusion.

"Bella don't take it personally. Michael hates people. Including us sometimes. It is just because he is different. Once you get to know him you will understand, He is not a total dick." Ashton says finally clarifying the outburst of laughter. After that we finish the Offspring album and arrive (finally) at the cabin.

I grab my backpack and head inside following behind Ashton. He shows me where I can sleep and I set down my stuff pull out my headphones and granola bar and chill for an hour blasting Panic At The Disco until more people arrive. Before leaving the room I pack my stuff back up change shirts. I decide on wearing an old Blink-182 shirt with the faded words "I miss you" and the same black skinny jeans containing holes at the knees. Nothing special. As usual.
