Chapter Eleven: First Dates

{Bella's p.o.v}       

           When we arrive back at the dorm I feel a little better then I did the night before. I had nice conversations with Luke the whole ride back. When I hear a click signaling Luke has gotten the door open I march inside only to see Ren sitting on the couch looking very happy to see us. Luke and I both Give her big hugs before setting our stuff in our rooms. I start to head back to the kitchen but stop in the bathroom to flush my face with water allowing me to seem way perkier then I actually felt. I towel off and take a deep breath before I open the door. I had to come off as joyful for both of their sakes. 

         When I get to the kitchen Luke and Renny have already started making tonights dinner, pasta. It was a meal we had quite often due to its cheap cost and it was easy to make {also didn't taste that bad}. I grab the "fancy" aged cheese that Luke bought from the all organic market out of the fridge and grab a bowl and a grader down from the shelves. I had an odd fetish for watching the cheese mound grow as I shredded it.

 "So guys I have some, I guess you could say happy news." Ren says with a big smile on her face the whole time. 

 "Oh my gosh are you pregnant?!?!" I say out of instinct causing Ren and Luke to erupt into giggles. 

"No close though" she says pausing probably scaring Luke "I was actually asked to go on a date tomorrow" 

 "Holy crap thats great" I say really happy for her. Renny was never big on the whole dating thing. In high school she mostly studied and stayed away from drama, so this was definitely news. 

 "Where is he or she taking you out to" Luke says clearly trying to sound happy for her and not overprotective but failing. 

 "Thats the thing we aren't going out we are staying in actually. He is coming over at 1:30 and we are going to watch Netflix and probably eat food I would imagine." she says very perky.

        I see Luke's shoulders slouch again as he was no longer tense about protecting his little friend. 

"Honestly thats really fricking cute you guys are already goals." I say to Ren sounding overly enthusiastic to match her mood.

        We eat dinner at the table a play high low of course. Renny told us more about her date but wouldn't tell us who. Luke and I both had to be out of the house at 1:30. When I finish eating my small portion of butter noodles I slip back into the kitchen and wash my dish and clean my share of the counter while father Luke gave the "use protection" speech. I said goodnight and went back to my room and plopped down on my much missed bed. 

        When I laid down I saw my phone screen was illuminate signaling I had gotten some type of alert. I stretched to reach it managing to grab the charger and reel it in. Finally it was close enough I could grab it I slide my finger to unlock typing in my 1-1-1-1 password. There was a text from an unsaved number reading, "Hey I'm kind of sorry about last night I just was really pissed. Wanna go for lunch tomorrow?". After reading it I knew it was one of people, Hudson or Michael. I start writing a response, "sorry who is this?" and send it to the still unidentified person.Very soon after I see three little dots meaning they were writing back. 

 (256)345-6890: Oh right I'm an idiot. I'm Michael, you are Bella right?

Bella: yes 

Michael: Okay good, this is already way embarrassing but it would be even more so if this were the wrong number. 

Bella: Well aren't you lucky it's me. Anyway what were you saying? 

Michael: I just feel bad about the other night so I was thinking we could go out to lunch, we can all it a date if you will eat more then salad :).

       I had never seen Michael act this way he has only ever been a dick to me but I did have to be out of the house at 1:30. If I was going to do this it was not going to be over lunch.

Bella: That sounds really nice but how about 1:30 at the park on the right side of campus. 

Michael: Okay I thats what you would like 

Bella: How did you get my number anyway? 

Michael: Lucifer 

 Bella: Luke?

Michael: Yep that's the boy 

 Bella: Wait he actually gave my number to a guy? 

Michael: Not exactly he wasn't sober and he gave me his phone so he wouldn't "send nudes" he mentioned someones name but I don't remember. Anyway I just went to his contacts and got your number. 

Bella: hah not at all creepy 

 Michael: It's not if you have a good reason 

Bella: I can't believe what drunk Luke said to you, he is always so protective it funny to see the other side of him. 

 Michael: Sometimes, other times it is annoying af. 

Bella: I would assume anyway I have to do my homework now because I now have plans for tomorrow. Goodnight. 

Michael: Goodnight. 

         I clear my phone's app history before turning it off and hooking it back to the charger. I didn't plan on telling Luke or Ren I had a "date". I wouldn't want to steal Ren's thunder or worry Luke. Instead I study and do homework until it is physically impossible to stay awake. I turn of my lamp and drift off thinking of all things that could go wrong on a first date in the park, there were a lot.

so yea I usually don't update Saturdays but my next date was Wednesday and i didn't want to wait so yea also I missed a bunch of days.
