i spent the day with dream.

i realized waking up early meant you have more time to do things... in the sunlight.

usually dream would have many responsibilities, but he told me he wanted to spend the day with me. i wasn't complaining.

after our breakfast, dream took me to the empty ballroom. we step into the room and i watch as dream goes around, opening all the curtains and letting the morning light shine on the polished floors.

he spins to look at me after pulling the last curtain open. i can see his shining smile from across the large room.

"what are we doing in here?" i ask, my voice echoing.

dream pulls his shoes off and runs towards me. i take a step back as he gets closer and slows down, grabbing at my shoulders.

he is smiling mischievously.

"what?" i whisper, no longer able to hold back a grin.

"let me tell you why we're in here."

"okay?"

dream pulls me to sit on the marble floor. he crosses his legs and sits forward. i copy him.

"so, we used to come in here a lot," dream starts. "it's funny to think about, and actually kind of weird to tell you."

he pauses.

"we used to pretend to ice skate, and i taught you a bunch of different dances. this was like a giant imagination room i guess." dream looks a little embarrassed telling me.

i slowly smile. "imagination room?"

dream goes shy. "yes...?"

i chuckle. he laughs softly. my chuckle turns louder and soon enough our giggles echo through the empty room.

when i've calmed down i reply, "that sounds like fun. let's do it."

"yeah?" dream perks up. "well, first you have to take your shoes off. i want to show you some dancing stuff. especially after your embarrassment on the dance floor for the ball."

my jaw drops. "hey! i thought i did a great job."

dream bursts out laughing again. "it was a joke."

i smile and punch his shoulder. he rubs his arm with a bright smile as i pull my shoes off and put them by the wall, out of the way.

he holds his hand out to me. "shall we?"

i grin and grab his hand. he pulls me forward making me slightly stumble.

"dream!"

he giggles.

dream takes a couple minutes to show me how to do one on one slow dances, humming quietly after i get the hang of it.

"that looks good," dream notes as he pulls his hand away from my waist and we halt. "okay, next is the lift and spin."

he places both his hands on my waist. "you place your hands on my shoulders and when i lift just push up. we spin once and then go back to position one."

i nod my head and place my hands on his shoulders. he lightly smiles as he shifts his hands on my waist. a shiver runs up my spine at his touch. he easily lifts me and we do a full 360 before he gently sets me down and moves his hands back to our original position, my hand on his shoulder, his on my waist.

"that was perfect," he breathes. "we don't even have to practice again."

i smile. "you're a natural."
