Extras (Story Ideas)

so, i have a bunch more dnf drafts for stories that i started working on and never finished so i wanted to list them here and see if any of them sounded interesting.

first: "The Ride of My Life" DNF fanfic
— George moved away from rainy England to go to college in America. it was time to change up his life a little. then he meets Dream, the perfect someone to make his life a little more interesting.

this story i ended up writing 13 chapters of and was wanting to start publishing, and then i decided to work on "Leaving me Flustered" instead. basically, George meets Dream during their college orientation where they get to know each other better. Dream tells him about how he has a girlfriend back home who hated that he rides a motorcycle. George is intrigued and asks if he can go for a ride. Dream agrees and that's how they start to become good friends. the story goes on with their friendship, until they get into a bad crash and Dream realizes that George might mean a little more to him than he thought.

and that's that.

second: "Lost in Florida"
— on a random drunken night call with Dream, George books a flight to go visit him in Florida. but instead of booking a flight to Orlando, he books a flight to Atlanta, Georgia. now how are they going to see each other? it seems to be one bad thing after another for George. will he ever catch a break? when he discovers a secret about Dream, he knows he never will.

this story got to only 10 chapters and it goes about how the synopses says. George gets stuck in Atlanta for about 24 hours before he is finally able to catch a flight to Orlando, where he finally meets Dream face to face for the first time. when they arrive at Dreams house, his secret is revealed and the story shifts dramatically. that's when i started to not like it and ended up including it in another unpublished work...

third: DNF short stories

—"Dreaming"
a completed short story based on a fanfic i read (although i don't remember what it's called): they say the people in your dreams are people you've seen in real life, but George is certain he has never seen this man in his life. yet he visits every night and brings pleasure to his dreams, almost driving him crazy with want. one day, after ordering doordash, he sees the man of his dreams on his doorstep with george's lunch in his hands. they stand in shock because they both know each other... from their dreams!
—"No Kisses!!"
an unwritten AU where George is cursed. his kiss will pass the curse onto others (like Dream). his kiss puts others to sleep and when they wake up, they will fall in love with whoever they see first (most of the time, it's George).
*not super in love with this one, but i thought it would be funny.
—"7 minutes in heaven"
a mostly finished short story where the dream team +karl are at a college party playing 7 minutes in heaven. george and dream get stuck in the closet for 7 minutes and both get boned. basically smut 🙃
—"Ukulele Lessons"
an unwritten short story about George catching Dream on the living room floor (in the dream team house) trying to play the ukulele. and then George teaches him how to play, but then the tension is too much and they end up making out.
—"Squid Games AU"
this was never written, at least not in this compilation because...

fourth: "Squid Craft" DNF AU
—an AU where the contestants from Squid Craft get transported into the game and have to try and survive virtual reality squid craft. George and the dream smp crew struggle to survive and when Dream dies on the third night, George is devastated and realizes, he might have had bigger feelings for Dream than he thought.

this project became much bigger which is why it was not included in the short stories, but i only got about 4 chapters in. it was mostly a retelling of what happened during the livestreamed Squid Craft games, but in virtual reality and amping up the drama. and also dnf (duh). i was really excited about this project and i feel like i could be again.

fifth: "Love Potion"
—Dream accidentally buys a love potion from a sketchy vendor, thinking it was wine. he brings it home for George to try and quickly realizes it's a love potion. his journey is to find the vendor and restore his "friend" back to normal before he falls in love with the boy he's been crushing on since day one.

i literally only got two chapters into this story, but i thought it was such a fun idea. Dream freaking out, George being ridiculously in love, and Sapnap receiving terrified phone calls from Dream throughout the whole adventure. still a really fun idea.

sixth: "14 again?"
—George wakes up 14 years old again and back in England, but with the knowledge of a 26 year old and how he has become a famous minecraft youtuber. he has to cope with the fact that none of it was real...

based off the Banter episode where George talks about hitting his head really hard when he was in science class. Sapnap and Karl joke that, "what if you just woke up one day and realized that your whole life was just a coma induced dream and you were back to 14 years olds again in science class" and i thought that was a really cool story idea. again, this one i didn't get very far into, because i didn't really know where to go with it, but it could be fun to include in the short stories.

and that's all of them!! i'd love to hear your thoughts on which ones sound the coolest. would you like me to actually finish any of them? are they just lame? have you've read any stories like the ideas i've suggested (because maybe i wanna read them lol)?
