it's about time that i cut ties
especially with all the lies
that i tell to you all the time
and i hate the way you undermine
all of the time i have spent
trying to fix what i truly meant
by "I'm not a guy" and
"I think I'm nonbinary"
yet the more i stay and stare
the more your words tangle in my hair
i feel like a defendant
trying to secretly be my own lawyer
fighting back for fun, like tom sawyer
i come bringing bad news, im the courier
all this thinking has me seeing blurrier
i can't take it anymore.
