The next morning came by fast. Your worries from the past day came back. You didn't know how you were supposed to handle things if JYP was mad at you. All you hoped for while getting dressed was that, if he was mad at you, he wouldn't kick you out. You would be okay with a harsh punishment if it meant you would stay with the girls. They meant the entire universe to you and losing them would be the end of you.

Your manager drove the five of you to the company and as soon as you got there, you could feel your legs shaking. You didn't know what to expect.

You walked up to the man's office and before you could knock, you heard someone calling you. "Y/N!"

Chan was the person you saw as soon as you turned around. You couldn't believe your own eyes. The person who you least wanted to talk to at the moment had just called you.

Smiling, the male stood next to you. "Did you sleep well?" You nodded in response, not wanting to speak.

He understood that you didn't want to talk but even so he kept speaking. "Guess you don't wanna talk. It's okay, I just wanted to check up on you. You know, gotta make sure my favorite member of GEM is doing okay~"

The slight blush on your cheeks was evident. "Your... favorite member..?"

"Yep~ You're my bias~" The male chuckled. "Well, I'm guessing you have something to talk about with PD-Nim, since you're at his door. I'll get going now, bye Y/N~"

You watched as he walked away hurriedly. You couldn't help but notice how his ears had turned to a shade of red and chuckled as it was clear the male was embarrassed.

Once the man was out of your sight, you took a deep breath to regain your confidence and knock on your boss' door.

"Come in!" You opened the door and walked in. The man looked at you and smiled. "Ah Y/N, the one I've been waiting for. I'm guessing you know why I called you here, am I right?"

You nodded, being too scared to talk, even if the man looked like he was happy. True happiness.

"If I were some other CEO, I would be yelling at you by now. But I believe that what makes a real idol is being nice and always saying the truth. Being genuine" He spoke. "So no, I won't yell at you or even punish you for what you told the fans. I want to compliment you for being brave enough to speak the truth, even if the truth could backfire on you"

You were speechless. You couldn't believe your own ears. Your own boss, complimenting you. Sure, he'd compliment you when you did something right during practice when you were a trainee and he showed up randomly to check on everyone, but being complimented like this meant something different to you. It was something bigger than the compliments you'd gotten in the past. He was proud of you.

Tears began to roll their way down your cheeks as a smile crept up on your face.

"T-Thank you so much PD-Nim! I'll do my best in making you, the girls and the fans proud!" You bowed to the man, who was chuckling.

"I'm sure you will, Y/N. You were my best trainee after all. You never failed to make me or anyone proud"

With that being said, he allowed you to leave. You walked out the office with a smile plastered on your face.

You quickly looked at the time on your phone and realized it was almost time for your vocal practice. You quickly ran to the studio you were supposed to be practicing your vocals at in a couple minutes.

On the way there, you bumped into someone. A female. Looking at the one you had bumped into, you couldn't help but gasp. You had bumped into the one and only Jihyo.
