Chapter Nine.

Jade And Jayden Visit The Mother Who Abandoned Her. {Part One}

It has been a week since she received that letter and it has been on her mind. She couldn't help but wonder what her brother looked like or if he knew about her.

Jade had a lot of unanswered questions that only she would know the answer but she was also hurt because of what they did to her.

Why would they do the same to him if he was born as the firstborn? Would they tell him my story or keep it away from him?.....

"Jade, stop. You are mixing salt in the cake mixture that was meant for the upcoming wedding....."

Jayden tells her making her come out of what she was thinking about.

"I am very sorry. I wasn't thinking...."

Jayden just shook his head and took the cake mixture and threw it away and started to mix the ingredients that were needed.

After finishing making the cake and put it in the oven to bake at a specific time.

Until then he needed to talk to Jade as he didn't want any mistakes to happen again.

"Where are you taking me?", Jade asks as he took her hand and dragged her towards his office.

Thankfully, there was not much work that needed his attention.

Jayden then opened the door and then as soon as they walked in he then closed the door.

"Take a seat, Jade. We need to talk....."

"Are you breaking up with me even though we arent even together?", Jade joked while taking a sit beside Jayden.

Jayden just shook his head with an amused smile on his face knowing that she will never change no matter what.

"What's the matter? I have been seeing you distracted ever since this week started. You can tell me as a friend", he tells her smiling.

"Everyone has a past that they want...no...need to forget about. But what if the same past that has appeared in front of you, what would you do?", she asks him.

Jayden knew that what she was talking about was her past. He knew it from when they were partners in high school as the other students were curious about how two sisters who weren't twins were in the same grade.

So Jade had to tell him what her past is and how she became Maya's sister.

"I would face it with no fear in my heart or even in my face. I would also need to know what happened that they would do this to me. You deserve an explaination, Jade. To move on and to be free of the questions that you have...."

"I have a brother that they kept while giving me away....the correct one is abandoning me in a mall. He is 15 years old now. Almost in high school....."

Jade couldn't control her tears but she needed to get it all out even if it was in front of Jayden.

"Hey, calm down", he tells her handing her a tissue to wipe away her tears.

"I am fine alhamdullilah. I just don't get it, why would she look for me now? And on top of it all, she wants me to meet him and maybe take care of him. I don't know what to do or who to ask to come with me when I dare to do that. I can't ask my parents as I know they will have a tiny sadness in their hearts and I don't want that. And I couldn't ask Maya, because she has done more than enough for me....and now it is my turn to do that for her and Rocco....."
