Chapter Twenty-One.

Two Surprises In One {part one}.

It has been a few months since Warda's death. Jade was still worried about her brother Maher.

Will be alright? I just don't want him to feel alone when he has me, Maya, and everyone who is always there for them.

"What's wrong, dear sister?", Maya asks her when she wasn't answering the question she had asked Jade.

Jade looked at her sister and just shook her head.

"It's nothing. I am just worried about Maher. Will he be able to be himself after what happened?", Jade asks her sister.

"See for yourself," Maya says pointing at their father playing basketball with Maher. "You are worried for nothing, besides you know how dad is. He will do anything to make someone smile", she added smiling.

"That's true. Now I don't have to worry about him. Dad will take care of him just like he took care of me".

In the coming weeks, Jade started to dislike the smell of cinnamon while she was in her bakery. She loved eating them but for a week she refused to eat them because they made her sick.

Why can't I eat my favorite snack? I just hope it is nothing serious.

Jade just shook her head and continued baking the cakes but she couldn't get away from the cinnamon roll smell because it was everywhere.

"Excuse me, will you take over? I need to go to the bathroom", Jade asks one of her workers who quickly took her place.

She rushed to the bathroom and started vomiting even though she hasn't eaten anything since morning as she had a lot of orders to fill before the end of the day.

What if I am pregnant? Will I be a good mother? Or will I make some mistakes?

Jade washed her face and rinse her mouth. She checked the mirror to make sure that she looked alright.

"Have you seen Jade?", she heard her husband asks one of their waitresses.

"Yes, she is in the bathroom. She wasn't feeling well......"

The worker couldn't even finish what she was saying when Jade walked in to find her husband's worried face.

"Here I am. I am fine, don't worry. You can go back to work, Lina", Jade says dismissing the waitress.

And then she turned to face her husband who just shook his head knowing that she didn't even have breakfast. Maybe this is why she had gotten sick.

"Don't lie and tell me what's wrong.", Jayden tells his wife. "Let's go to the office to talk", he added taking her hand and walking toward the office.

They walked in and Jayden closed the door for their privacy.

"Jayden, I am fine..."

"It has been almost two weeks since you are sick and you can't stand the smell of your favorite dessert. We need to get you to the hospital for a check-up. Because I think I will feel better if we do that", Jayden says cutting her off.

Jade had no choice but to agree with what her husband is telling her.

This will ease both of our minds and maybe I will get the answer that I am looking for.

Jayden made an appointment with the doctor for the following day but in the afternoons. Because of their jobs.

Meanwhile, Maya was dodging Rocco's questions as she wasn't feeling well. She didn't want to make her husband worry about her as she thinks that it is just the flu and it will go away in a matter of days.

"Habibty, we need to make an appointment to see the doctor because if it's the flu then it would have passed already. And don't think you would get away from going to the hospital", Rocco says to his wife.

"I am fine....."

"No, you aren't. And you can't even lie to me. I will make an appointment for tomorrow and you will have to go with me no matter what. Even if I have to carry you then I will do it. Because your health is very important to me and you are my world, MayMay", Rocco tells her with a worried look on his face.

Maya knew what her husband was talking about. She knew how much Rocco suffered since his childhood.

His parents' death.

The four years of their separation.

"You are my world too. Alright, we will go to the hospital tomorrow. In shaa Allah so that you don't have to worry about me but now can I have some chocolate and pickles, please?", Maya asks her husband while smiling.

"Pickles and ice cream? How can you eat that?", Rocco asks her. "Could be pregnant?", he asks her again.

"Rocco...."

"Maya..."

"We will find out tomorrow at the hospital. But for now, can I have what I requested you to get me?", Maya says to him.

I pray that what you are saying is true. In shaa Allah it will be true. But I am afraid that Rocco would go overprotective of me because if the answer is me being pregnant.
