Six months later.
Gender Reveal For Jade And Maya.
Maya and Jade were ecstatic to know their babies' gender reveal. Their husbands were more excited as they had a bet going on. But fortunately for them, both Jade and Maya don't know about it.
It was the day of the gender reveal party to be held. But the men had to have a separate gender reveal party.
This rule was made by Nayla and Layla. They know what the girls were having as they had planned everything for them.
"This is exciting, it looked just like yesterday when I was pregnant with you and Naeem. And look at you, Layla. You are going to be a grandma...."
"And you are going to be a great grandma, don't forget that mamma. I wonder how dad feels about this? Sometimes, Jason wants to lock up our daughters so that they could always be his little girls...."
"It is how every parent feels about their daughters and sons too. We don't want to see them hurt, or even grow up to move away from us. Alhamdullilah for everything", Nayla tells her daughter while they watched both Maya and Jade looking at the dessert table.
"They remind me of Ayat when she was pregnant. She loved desserts more than real food", Layla says as she gets up to go and get the desserts for her daughters.
I better get them some before they, go hangry and look grumpy.
Layla took two plates and filled them with different desserts and then walked toward her daughters to give them the plates.
"Here, I thought you might need this....."
Layla gives them the plates, and both Maya and Jade had grins on their faces when they saw the desserts on the plate.
"Thank you, mamma. But we didn't ask for anything ?", Jade says to her mother.
"For the last two minutes, I have been seeing you looking at the dessert table and I knew that you need them. So I brought you some but if you don't want them, then I will take them back....."
"No, mamma it is fine. We can have them. Thank you", Maya says cutting her mother off.
Layla couldn't help but laugh at their expressions and when she tried to take the plates back.
"Fine, I will not take them. But you also need to eat healthy foods for the babies. They will need a lot of nutrients and vitamins from you to grow and become strong", Layla tells them.
Meanwhile, at the men's venue, the cake was about to serve when Jason asks them not to cut it because the women's side hasn't done the reveal just yet.
"But for how long do we have to wait?", Rocco asks impatiently.
Jason shook his head and then he told Rocco that he would ask Layla.
"Are you guys ready to cut the cake because the fathers' are very impatient? And they need an answer, " He tells his wife.
"We are about to do it....."
And then Jason signaled both Jayden and Rocco to come forward to their respective cakes.
"Okay, can they cut it now?", Jason asks Layla who answers yes.
As soon as Jayden and Rocco got the answer, they both cut their cakes to see their babies' gender.
They were beyond shocked to see that the cakes had two colors on both of them.
They turned to Jason and Liam who smiled at each other.
"Twins?!"
Both Jayden and Rocco exclaimed when they saw colors.
"Yes, twins. Jayden has one daughter and a son. And Rocco has one son and a daughter. Congratulations to both of you", Liam says hugging them.
"But how?", Jayden asks.
"Didn't you two notice anything different from your wives? Apart from their cravings? Their stomachs...."
Liam didn't even finish what he was saying when someone handed the two fathers' envelopes.
They started opening them and inside they found the babies' ultrasound.
On the back of the envelopes was written: Congratulations Dad.
"Sometimes happiness becomes more than what we expect it to be. Alhamdullilah, we have four grandchildren who will be loved and cared for", Liam says while looking at both Jayden and Rocco who had grins on their faces.
They looked like they have won a lottery. The babies were much more than winning the lottery, especially after the sadness that they have had in their lives. They need this to be their happiness.
Alhamdulillah for all our children who will be loved just the way they are.
Rocco turned to Jayden to hug him as it is now time for both of them to step up and be a father to their unborn children.
"Well, we are getting daughters...."
"And they will never marry....."
They completed each other's sentences. As Jason and Liam watched while shaking their heads.
"All I can say to them is good luck, they will need it more than anything", Jason says to Liam who knew what he was talking about.
Being a parent isn't the easiest thing to do. Most people would think otherwise but for some, it is the hardest thing they do every day.
Why?
Because of their daily encounters with their children. A child is a gift from Allah and we should cherish, love, and protect that gift until it is ready to go on its own.
Love your children, and listen to them. Be there for them in their happiness, sadness, and their worse moments in life.
