Before going to meet Jevil, you decided to go meet Seam, you weren't going to say the obvious but you were going to go visit him.

--------------------------------------------------------------

You went out of the castle, taking the beauty before you. It was still cold, and icy or snowy sceneries weren't weird during that time.

You walked towards Seam's little shop. You wondered if he missed you, you might've worried him, you hope that isn't the case, then again, I think he would've been more worried if he saw the state you were in these past weeks.

You slowly reached his shop, he was talking with a customer so you decided to wait in the distance so as to not interrupt him. The person left and you went towards Seam.

"Hey Seam!" You gleamed.

"Y/N? I haven't heard from you in a while." He said surprised "Did something happen?"

"Not really. That was the problem actually" You laughed awkwardly, you weren't going to just start venting to him so you coughed and continued talking "Anyways-How's business going?" You asked.

"As always, I'm glad things are calm now. I couldn't say the same for you though" He laughed

"Hm? Oh, right!" You blushed lightly "Jevil told me to say hello for him" You said.

"Do you two talk about me?" He was curious.

"Not really. We just talk about what comes up, if you come up I'm not gonna give you the silent treatment." You joked.

"I'm glad you two are having fun." He smiled fondly "Say, did you come here to say hello or did you want anything?"

"Oh no, I just came to check up on you, wanted to visit you" You answered.

"Well, it looks like you could use something for the cold" He chuckled.

Besides being wearing winter appropriate clothing you were still freezing, and I guess Seam noticed easily "I could but I don't have anything on me" You said "Oh, by the way. The deck you gave me, did you know he memorized the cards?" You asked.

"Did I know? I did it first!" He laughed

"Seam! How dare you! I played an unfair match because of your influence." You joked.

"You shouldn't play anything with Jevil and expect a fair match" He added.

"I guess you're right."

"...How is he doing? Is he okay?" He asked, you could tell a string of worry in that question.

"He's okay Seam, I'm with him. At least now" You whispered the last part to yourself, you didn't want to tell Seam you abandoned Jevil in such a way, you already felt guilty and you really didn't feel like getting scolded now. "Are you okay? This doesn't look like the best covering for the winter."

"Don't worry for me, I'm quite used to the cold, my fur keeps me warm" He said.

"Well, happy belated Christmas and New Year!" You laughed, he just nodded and laughed with you.

"You too Y/N. Will we see each other tomorrow?" He asked.

"I don't know, but I'll try!" You said, determined. "Until then Seam, goodbye!" You said starting to walk away.

"'Till we meet again servant." He said in his usual calm voice.

You started to walk back to the castle, you could see some of your coworkers leaving to go visit their families or sleep in their respective homes. You lived in the castle, but you weren't the only one, yet you were still part of the minority to live there.

You got inside the castle and went to your room to clean yourself up a bit. You tried to grab some comfortable but still winter clothes so you wouldn't freeze down there. You ended up with some polar shirts, some fuzzy pants, a warm hoodie and some fuzzy socks with crocs. Yes, you're wearing crocs, deal with it, and you're going adventure mode too, so buckle up.

You made your way to the elevator but you were stopped by someone.

"Keep the doors open!" You heard from behind you, you did as you're told and saw some worker that you didn't recognize. "Thanks! Ground floor please!" They said, you pressed the button and started the ride in silence. "I'm new here! I'm still getting used to everything, my name's Oliver!"

"Oh, uh, Y/N" Elevator rides were the most uncomfortable thing ever, you were convinced, you weren't a people person already to be dealing with these kinds of situations.

"Well Y/N, it's a pleasure, I'll see you tomorrow" He said walking out of the elevator, presumably to his home. You stood dumbfounded for some time before going back to reality and going to Jevil's floor.

You were pretty lucky actually, if you were caught with any other coworker they would've known you had no business being up this late using the elevator, and since you are horrible lying on the spot you would mess up.

The doors opened and you left yourself out. Going down the stairs you remembered last night and a smile creeped up onto your face. You didn't know why you did it, but it just felt right, and you weren't going to fight your guts.

The cell was empty once more and you made yourself known "Jevil!" You shouted, you sat down onto the floor and waited for him to show up. Your hands and face were cold. You put your arms inside the hoodie, leaving the sleeves lifeless. "Jevil?" You called once more. He would usually show up on the spot.

You heard the jingling of bells in the distance and figured he was coming. You saw his head poke out of the darkness with his usual smile. You smiled back. He put his head back into darkness and came out entirely.

You weren't quite sure how his cell worked, you were sure it wasn't like this by default, he might've done some magic to make it work like it does. Not only is it enormous and empty, but there's this dark opaque layer that prevents people from seeing anything further from there.

He slowly made his way to you and sat down.

"Jevil, I am quite curious, where do you..." You thought "Do anything?" You asked, chuckling.

"Hm?" Jevil let out a confused noise.

"I mean. As far as I can see you live in a dark void. No bed, no food, no nothing." You said "Don't you eat?" You asked, you expected anything from him to be honest.

"As far as eating goes, goes. I would say yes! Still, I don't need to eat as much as you, you!" He explained "I get my meals from servants, servants!"

"Woah, wait, what?" You said surprised.

"Well, yes. Did you expect they would leave me here to die from inanition?" He said with a grin. I guess you never really thought about that. It did make sense though, even the worst criminals get fed in jail. They can't really leave them to die.

"I guess not. But, who comes here?" You questioned curiously.

"I'm not quite sure, sure. I just know it's been the same person since the beginning!"

"They never spoke to you?"

"They must've at some point but I don't have the memory for it." He laughed. "I can see you don't handle the cold well, well" He said.

You moved your hands from inside your hoodie "Nope! I have a toxic relationship with winter"

"How's so?"

"I love it! The scenery, the feeling, the season itself! But I can't deal with the cold. I love coming from a cold day and going home to my fluffy clothing and warmth but even so, I'm still cold" You whined. "On the other hand, you seem to handle it perfectly."

"I do! Do!" He said with a proud smile.

"Heh, say, you didn't fully answer me, where do you sleep?"

"It's complicated to explain, explain" He laughed "It's easier to see, see!"

"I wish I could be in your little freedom." You added.

"I wish you could too, too..." He smiled lovefully.
