Chapter 9

David landed behind the movie rental place that Max ran. Why he ran it David did not know.

David walked to the back door that led to Max's office and knocked. Max opened the door and frowned. Max turned and walked to sit behind the desk leaving David to close the door on his way in.

David flopped into the chair and waited. It was not a good idea for David to try and start the conversation.

Max cracked his knuckles. "What happened?"

David licked his lips. "6 humans found the cave and rummaged through it. They apparently found the bottle and one of them apparently drank from it. The boys are searching for the half vampire. Once we find them, we will find the bottle."

Max nodded. "I thought you had made it where it could not be found."

David nodded. "We did. We hid it in the hideout on the bookshelf like you ordered. Someone had to have been searching for something to have found it."

Max nodded again. "I want the half vampire found and I want all who saw that cave killed."

David nodded his head. "And the half vampire?"

Max leaned back. "Make your best judgement. If they are good to be a vampire, finish the transition. If not, destroy them quickly. Do not make them suffer."

David nodded again.

Both men tensed when they felt the bond from the fledgling half vampire start to become stronger. The half vampire was finishing the transition. The vampires knew exactly where the soon to be vampire was now.

David and Max quickly stood. "Find him quickly David before he exposes us. And find the bottle before someone else decides to drink. We don't need others turning."

David nodded. He flew out the door and into the sky.

Max walked to the door and looked up watching his eldest child fly. Hopefully, the damage can be managed to a minimum.

David flew fast until he saw Marko, Paul and Dwayne standing on a rooftop looking down. He landed besides them and glanced down. He was actually a she vampire. They were too late to stop her from feeding but at least she was not feeding where other humans could accidently stumble in on it.

He watched as the girl stood up and start to panic after seeing the body.

What do we do David?

David glanced at Dwayne before focusing on the girl. He could not help but smirk at the situation.

Let's go meet our new sister boys.

Paul and Marko smirked at each other before following David and Dwayne to where their new sister stood. The girl heard them land behind her and jerked around.

The look on her face was priceless. David could not help but smirk at who the new vampire was. He remembered the little girl who Marko took pity on and saved from the three men when she was young. The girl later helped them out by warning about their bikes being messed with.

David took a sniff and knew she was not one of the ones who was in the cave earlier today, but he bet she knew who did. As the girl's eyes got wider when she finally recognized them David's smirk grew, and he lifted an eyebrow. Life was about to get very interesting.
