"It's Nyla right?" Deanna asked me, I nodded "And Max is your brother, yes?" "Yeah" I spoke, "So how long have you been with your group?" She asked, "I was with them at the start, but then me and Max got split up, but we found them again about a month ago" I told her,  "Do you mind if I film this?" She asked, "Go ahead, but why?" I questioned

"We're about transparency here. Tell me about your backstory" She said, "Well uh. when we got split apart me and Max stayed alone for about a month until we found Mark and Rio and her father, we were starving all the time, and we would rarely find any food, but we found this place called Terminus and we reunited there" I told Deanna

"What about your parents, I mean what happened to them if you don't mind me asking" Deanne asked, I paused for a moment "Uh, well at the very start my mother got bit by a walker and instantly died, my father blamed me and left me and Max alone, we found Rick and some other people, We only trusted Rick because before the apocalypse our families were pretty close" I told

"How did you know Rick before the apocalypse?" She asked, "Me and Carl went to school together, we were pretty good friends and so were our parents" I told her

time skip

I had finally showered I haven't showered since forever, and the only shower I had was rain which that was extremely rare in the USA, We all stood on the porch in one of the houses, "You can look just be quick" Rick told me and Carl, We both rushed to the other house, It was really big inside "These are like mansions" Carl said examining the house, a thumping sound came from upstairs "Did you hear that?" Carl asked, "Yeah, it came from upstairs" 

"C'mon" 

We both grabbed our knives out of our holsters and snuck upstairs, He looked at the closed door "In there" He whispered, He put his ear to the door and quickly opened it with his knife up, I put my knife up immediately and lowered it when I saw there was nobody in there "Check it out" Carl said, We both walked in and looked around

Carl picked up a comic, "Wolf fight, This might be from Jessies kid, I'll ask him tomorrow" Carl told me, I agreed

The next morning I woke up almost everybody was awake by now, Some people were outside, I got up and looked out the window admiring all the people walking by it was crazy to me that this place was always around and we found it, I fixed my hair and went outside "Hey Rio" I said and sat next to her, "I wish my father was here, He would've loved it" Rio looked down, "He would've" I agreed

"I'm gonna go inside and talk to Max" She got up and looked at me for a second then went inside, I saw Carl and Rick walking down the street, Carl went up the stairs and came over to me "Me and Max are gonna go meet Jessies son, Ron, Do you wanna come with us?" Carl asked me, I agreed and he went inside to grab the comic he found

Carl Max and I walked to Jesse's house it wasn't far, We walked up the steps and knocked on the door, The guy who looked about our age opened the door, "Hey, come in" Ron said, "We're almost always here after school, so you can come by anytime" Ron offered, "You go to school?" Carl questioned, "Ah, it's in a garage, Little kids go in the morning, and then it's us in the afternoon probably you guys too, right?" Ron told us, "Probably" Carl breathed

Ron walked us over to his bedroom "Guys this is Carl, Max, and Nyla, This is Mikey and Enid" Ron introduced, "Hey" Mikey stood up, "Hi." Enid bluntly said

"Enid's from outside too she just came eight months ago" Ron told us I glared at her, "Oh um, Is this yours" He turned to Minky and then Ron, "Sorry we didn't know you guys got that house" Ron apologized, "We mostly hang out there and listen to music, That's Enid's" Mikey said Enid looks up and snatches it from Carl's hands and tossed it on the other side of the bed

"Do you guys want to play some video games, Or Mikey's house has a pool table but his dads is kind of strict about it"

"It's okay, he's at work"

I glared at them thinking about how different the world is outside, Its like nothing ever happened, "Um" Carl mumbled, "Sorry I guess we come on kind of strong, We can just hang out" Ron suggested, "You don't even have to talk if you don't wanna" 

"Yeah took Enid three weeks to say something" Ron stated, "Pull it together, sport" Enid muttered, I looked at Max who didn't take his eyes off of her I furrowed my eyebrows, "Lets um- let's play some video games, If that's fine with Max" Carl agreed

Max turned back to Ron, "Yep" Max said popping the p, We all sat at the edge of the bed and Mikey grabbed a stool "I sat on the side of the bed and watched them play, I hear a comic tossed next to me, I turned around "Here, you'll probably get bored watching them play" Enid told me, "Thanks" I said and grabbed the comic, I opened it and flicked through the pages to see what I can expect and then turned back to page 1

When I arrive back I sat down in the living room, Rick sat down next to me "Deanna is considering giving you Mark, Max, and Rio an apartment since you were a group alone for a while, I came to tell you I've already told Mark and Rio" Rick told me, "They have apartments?" I exclaimed, "Yeah, it is by the storage room, where we gave them our weapons" 

"When?" I asked excitedly, "She was thinking tomorrow afternoon," He told me, Rio walked in and Rick left, and she sat down next to me "Me and my dad used to live in an apartment" Rio spoke, "Yeah? what was it like" I asked, "We had pictures everywhere, And we had a leather sofa and it would get really cold on winter days, My bedroom had a huge dollhouse and a bunch of stuffed animals" She smiled "My mother just died right before we bought it" 

I looked at her in pity "That sounds like a nice apartment" I commented, "It was, my dad tried his best to make it look nice" She stated, The front door opens and shuts quietly, Max and Carl was back "Hey max" Rio looked up, "Hi" He mumbled and walked in the living room. Carl went straight upstairs

I wondered what he thought of Ron and Mikey so I went upstairs, I walked upstairs and knocked on the door, and entered he was laying down on his bed "Hey Carl, what did you think of them?" I asked and sat down next to him, "It was fine, I mean it was strange but I guess it was cool" He admitted, "But they're weak, and I don't want us to get weak too." 

I agreed, "Ron told me about someone else whos around our age, they haven't really met him yet but apparently his name is Jayce" Carl told me, "Jayce?" I asked making sure I heard him correctly, "Yeah, Enid's met him but Ron and Mikey haven't" He told me, "A guy called Jayce used to be in my group" I told Carl

"Really? Well where'd he go" He asked, "He ran away he told me he found someplace safe, this must've been it" I stated, "I'll leave you alone" I told Carl as I got up
