I didn't know if I should tell Mark about Jayce in fact I didn't even know if it was actually Jayce, I mean last time I was right, I hope this time I am too, it was morning so I decided to just take a walk around outside, I changed into dark gray jeans and a brown oversized button up with a black tank top underneath and paired it with some converse shoes

I walked out of the house and walked down the street I noticed it seemed quieter than usual, I walked down the road and saw Tara, Glenn, and Noah talking to some guys they were about to leave before one of them stopped when they saw me, "Hello Nyla, Deanna wanted me to give Mark these keys they're for the top floor of those apartments, I was gonna wait until I came back but well you're here now so" I remembered this guy he was the one who opened the front gate I think his name was Nicholas or something

"Oh, well thank you I'll give them to him" 

He nods and carries on walking, Noah smiled at me as he walked away I smiled back, I then turned the other way and made my way back to the house where Mark was, I walked in the kitchen and saw Mark sitting down "Mark, These are the keys to our apartment" I told him and gave him the 2 keys "Thank fuck for those get the others." He said and grabbed them off me, He walked out of the house 

"Rio, Max we have the keys to the apartment" I told them both, They got up and quickly went outside and followed Mark, I was about to leave and then I decided to tell Carl that we were going to the apartment, I walked upstairs and knocked on his door, no answer he must've not been here

I went downstairs and out the door,  I quickly caught up to Rio and Max, Rio walked in front of Max eager to see the apartment, Max looked at me "You know what this means right?" Max asked, "What?" 

He rolled his eyes and looked forward, We walked towards the apartments and walked up the steps, and made our way to the top, Mark had already unlocked the apartment door so we all walked in, There were some essentials in a basket and some empty photo frames, Some other stuff as well like extra blankets and pillows

Mark sat down and put his bag on the coffee table, "These people have no idea what they're doing" Mark said and leaned back, "And Rick needs to learn how to take better care of his son, He shouldn't be letting Carl kill walkers it'll make him go crazy" He said, I furrowed my eyebrows

"They're dead already" Max spoke, "I'm just saying leave it to the adults"

I heard the gate open, I got up from the steps outside the apartment and put my book down then walked over, "You three need new gigs" A man said, "Yeah pretty sure you got that backwards" Glenn carried on walking, The man stopped him "We got a way of doing things around here" The man said

"You tied up walkers" 

"It killed our friend! Look I'm not having this conversation, You obey my orders out there"

"Then we're just as screwed as your last run crew" Glenn sneered, The guy walked closer to him "Say that again" 

"No back off Aiden" Tara pleaded, Aiden pushed Glenn back "Come on come on man just take a step back" Noah tried to stop him, "Come on tough guy" Aiden taunted

"No one's impressed man, walk away" Glenn commented, "Aiden, what's going on?!" Deanna walked over to the scene, "This guys got a problem with the way we do things" He turned to Deanna "Why'd you let these people in?" He asked, "Because we actually know what we're doing out there" Glenn stated

Aiden turned around and swing his fist at Glenn, but Glenn quickly ducked and punched him right in the nose, Nichoal dropped his bag and went for Glenn but Daryl stopped him, I was shocked at the scene I knew I couldn't interfere because well. 

Deanna was yelling for them to stop "I said that is enough!" Deanna shrieked, Carl and Rick walked through the gate and Rick was quick to step in he tried calming down Daryl, He pulled him up, and pushed him back

"I want everyone to hear me okay Rick and his people are part of this community now in all ways as equals understood?!" She shouted, "Understood." Aiden muttered, "And I want all of you to turn over your weapons then you two come talk to me" She said 

I looked at Enid, why was she out there? and when did Carl leave? I looked at them both and turned around and walked back to the apartment blocks and sat on the steps and went back to the book

Carl was walking down the road and he stopped when he saw me, He sat next to me "What are you reading" He asked me, I was reading 'To kill a mockingbird' it was about the coexistence of good and evil and the roots and consequences of racism and prejudice, probing how good and evil can coexist within a single community or individual

I flipped the book around and showed him the cover, "Looks cool, Did they give you the apartment key?" He asked, "Yeah about an hour ago" I told him "Mark wants us to sleep there tonight, Settle in" 

"Yeah, yeah that's cool I was thinking we should all settle in as well, It seems safe" He told me, Enid walked past and went to the apartments next to us and walked up the stairs, I saw Carl looking at her, I felt a bit of jealously so I just focused on my book, "Uh, well I- I'm just gonna go you seem pretty focused on your book" He said and got up from the stairs, I watched him head the way of the house, I got up and walked back in the apartment when I saw the sun was setting Mark had already started catching up on his drinking by the time I came inside

time skip to the next day evening

Carol had told me there was a party at Deanna's tonight, and that I have to go, I walked back to my apartment and went inside "Rio, Max there's a party at Deanna's we have to go" I exclaimed, Max walked over by me "I don't wanna its gonna be all old people, and cider" He said, "Neither do I but y'know" I sighed, I glared at his arm there was some bruises on there, I had figured that was the cause of Mark drinking

I looked back up at him and went in my room, It was a decent size for an apartment a double bed fit in there plus dressers, I looked in the basket of clothes and found a retro-looking striped sweater I was really fixated on, and a pair of black jeans, I didn't really like dresses so I decided I would just dress up casual 

Rio was getting ready in her room and Max just threw on a gray t-shirt and jeans, Rio was ready five minutes later she had a nice floral dress on and converse shoes with a black headband, the sun had set and we could hear the party

Mark was already at the party I was hoping he hadn't created any trouble, We walked up to Deanna's house and walked up to the door, and knocked a guy with brown hair looked around 25 answered the door, "Come in kiddos" He said, we all walked in I saw Carl, Mikey and Ron playing cards, I walked in the kitchen and grabbed a fruit punch

I leaned back on the counter and looked around, I blew air out of my mouth, frustrated I saw the back door and put my drink down, I sat leaned against the wall and stood there it was quiet out here just how I liked it
