As the evening wore on, we talked about all sorts of things, from our favorite comics to what we think of Alexandria, We laughed at each other's jokes and shared stories about our families and friends from before the outbreak, and I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I hadn't felt in a long time.

Finally, it was time to say goodbye, and I felt a pang of sadness as I realized that I didn't want the night to end. "I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked, my voice soft. "Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow but I gotta go my dad is probably wondering where I am" Carl smiled at me, his eyes twinkling

As Carl said goodbye and walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing in my heart. I knew that I had to push those feelings aside, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to do so. I tried to distract myself by cleaning up, but my mind kept wandering back to Carl and the way he made me feel

Just as I was lost in thought, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to find Ron standing there, "Hey, Look I'm sorry about the other day and I'm sorry I didn't come over earlier" He spoke

I smiled at him, feeling a sense of guilt wash over me. "Its fine Ron" I said, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Just come in or whatever"

Ron stepped inside, looking around the room. "Has someone been over?" he said, his tone curious.

I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment. "Yeah, Carl stopped by" I said, trying to sound casual. "We just hung out for a little while since we're friends."

Ron's expression darkened slightly, and I felt a sense of unease wash over me. "What did you guys talk about?" he asked, his voice low. I shrugged, feeling defensive "Just stuff," I said, my tone defensive. "Nothing important."

Ron looked at me for a long moment, his eyes searching mine. "Okay," he said, his tone sceptical "Well, I'm here now"

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Ron was right. I needed to focus on our relationship, not on my new feelings for Carl. So we spent the rest of the evening together reading comics in my room it was nice, but I couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness in my heart, All I could think about was how nice Carl was earlier

Ron put his comic down and looked up at me "Nyla, is everything okay?" Ron asked me, his voice gentle.

I hesitated, unsure of how to answer. But then I took a deep breath and told him the truth. "I don't know," I said, my tone guarded. "I just feel like we're not as close as we used to be."

Ron nodded, his expression sympathetic. "I know how that feels," he said. "But we can work on it. We can spend more time together and do things we both enjoy"

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude wash over me, "Where are Max and Rio?" Ron asked, "Mikeys they'll be back later though probably" I told him, It was getting darker by now casting a warm glow over the bed and I could hardly see the comic no more I sat up and put my comic away and Ron done the same, What do you wanna do?" I asked him, my voice low
