Felix had been in Paris for the last 6 months, his mother had asked him to deal with some problems with a branch of Graham Films. Gabriel had offer Amelie a place for his nephew to stay, still trying to redeem himself. Felix was a workaholic, just like the two designers and Nathalie had to stop the three of them and make sure they would eat. Lunch rapidly became a nice way for them to learn more about each other outside of work.

When she came back from New York, they kept that routine and with all the late nights helping Gabriel with his latest line, Marinette and Felix had gotten really close friends. Working in the manor sometimes side by side for hours, jokes and teasing became normal for both of them. Marinette had learn a lot about the man and could now understood better why he had done some things, when they were still in college.

Being unstoppable at work, they mostly passed time in the same room, in silence, both fully concentrate on their work. They appreciated the company during the long hours and the more difficult days. Marinette really loved her work and Felix' company helped her when she was tired. Even if he didn't have anything to do, he would simply sit next to her and read, talking was not necessary at this point, they simply didn't want to be alone and with their work, both young adults didn't have much time to hang out with friends.

The young designer had tried to plan a breakfast at the restaurant, with her friends, but the girls never answered her messages. That morning, she sat at the table she had reserved for an hour before ordering something for herself. She had called Adrien a couple of times, but like always, he didn't pick up. At this point she was at her lowest, when Felix saw her across the street. He had walked up the little coffee shop and ordered, before joining her. Their conversation was light and easy that Marinette forgot, for a moment, the fact that her friends and fiancé were probably ignoring her and she didn't know why.

Sitting in front of Felix, she was happy, she was herself and he didn't care if she talked about her projects with Gabriel or her personal ones. That man was the only stability she had in her life right now, along with her work and nothing made her feel better than to be around him. She knew what all those feelings meant, but she didn't want to go down that road, because she was engaged and she wasn't sure how he would react if she said anything. Not just him, her parents, Gabriel, Nathalie, Felix' mother and so much more. But one thing she didn't have to say or change was that this man brought light through her days and knew how to make her laugh.
