At the end of the day, instead of going to the Agreste Mansion, to work on some of her design with Gabriel, she was in Felix' car and she had no idea where they were going. He had convinced her to take a night off and get dinner in the city. It didn't take him long, because she was exhausted and mostly she didn't want to cook tonight, so here she was stepping out of the car aux Champs-Élysées.

The young man grabbed a small basket in the trunk of his car, with a blanket and took her hand, almost dragging her behind him, to find a place to sit. He had planned a full pic-nic, with the help of Nathalie and the family chef, it was simple some cheese, whine, fruits and a couple of treats from her parents' bakery, just what Marinette needed to let out some stress and she did.

They ate and talk all night, only leaving around midnight, when an officer asked them to leave, because she was laughing too loudly and disrupting the park's peace and quiet. This made a good material for Felix to tease the young woman on the ride back to her apartment. He stayed the night, too tired to drive to get to the Mansion in one piece, so she set him up in the guest room.

"Felix...?"

"Uhm?"

"Thank you... I really needed this tonight," her voice was soft and low and has if she was afraid her words would betray her, she got closer and kissed his cheek. In his own movement the corner of their lips touched, not really a kiss, but enough of the both of them to intensely blush. She left the room and went to her own bed room to sleep, which came with a lot of teasing from the Kwamis, who were floating free around her.

Gabriel was looking at his late wife's painting, waiting for his son to arrive, he was two hours late and the designer could only hope he would show up. His thoughts were interrupted by Nathalie who appeared behind the opening door of his office. He turned around and saw Adrien entering the room, with an annoyed look on his face, making it obvious he didn't want to be present, but the father refrain from frowning at his attitude.

"Adrien! I'm so glad you could make it! Why don't we take a seat?" he said making his way to one of the couches in the center of the room.

"What do you want father? I have things to do," Adrien spat. He didn't sat only crossed his arm and stayed close to the door.

"I wanted to talk to you, have some news from my own son. Am I not allowed?" Gabriel was fuming, but for the sake of Marinette decided to calm down and play dumb. "I also wanted to know how things are advancing regarding the wedding."

"Everything is perfect, father. Why don't you asked Mari those questions, she's the one setting up the wedding and reception?"

"Oh! I don't know? Maybe because from what I heard you haven't talked, texted or seen each other in weeks. So from what I understand, you have no contact with your fiancée since she left for her internship in New York!?"

"So what!? It's not your life, stop trying to control me, all the time," his tone was now more aggressive and if he had still wore his Miraculous could have tried to Cataclysm something, on the spot.

"'So what!?' Really, Adrien!? What is going on? Where do you sleep? Do you even know that Marinette goes home every night to cook you diner, do all your laundry and take care of you? Do you even care about the fact that she's been looking forward to see you, but you're never there? Are you even in a relationship with her or are making her believe she is?" at this point Gabriel was furious. His son was acting like a teenager who had just been punished for not doing a homework.

"I don't care! She did that to herself, when she left for New York. If she would have listen to me, we would still be okay," his answer shocked his father more than anything.

"She left three months, to be better in her job, trying to get closer to her dream and you want to make her pay, by what torturing her emotions? Do you even love her?"

Adrien turned around and left the mansion without answering. He loved Marinette so much and her leaving for her internship with Style Queen had hurt him and he didn't know how to react. At first he wanted to make her feel the same way, but when she came back he had tasted the life of a bachelor during her absence and he was enjoying it. He was out in bars and clubs almost every nights and hanging out with his friends. He was basically experimenting all the things he couldn't do has a teen or young adult, with his father's control and his responsibilities fighting HawkMoth.

He almost ran to his car, not wanting to be in his family's house, he anger he had towards Gabriel was something he could never let go, even with all the changes in the last few years. He press on the gas pedal and left, Nino was already waiting for him and he didn't want to make his best friend wait.
