First of all, Spirits are NOT ghosts!!! A ghost only has some powers of a Spirit. There are in the same category ( practicality like animals), Soul ( An example of other categories are mermaids and people that can control water [ I don't have a name and the script was done in school ] are Fish species/categories [ of course they are not the only ones ] ).
One of the different things about Spirits and Ghosts is their bodies. A Ghost is a dead person so they don't have a body ( they can go through objects [ they can also control them ] and people ).
Spirits are people that can get out of their body. They can go in Spectator.
When they do that Spirits can go in people's body/mind or control objects.
They can sense souls/spirits of living things so it's impossible to hide from them. Spirits can also get information on all the living things ( EX: Localization, Emotions and more ).
Spirits can talk to there future or past self.
They can also control your body.
There is an 5% change that you will be a Spirit.
If one of your parents is one, nothing happens.
If 2 Spirits meet nothing happens.
If a Spirit dies, they will become a Ghost that has a little more power.
