The incest and very large age gap aside, these two being a pair could provide so much drama. Maybe Ashfur taking Hollyleaf as a mate because Firestar started to suspect Ashfur was a 'little' obsessed with Squirrelflight. //Hell if Hollyleaf was a ginger cat like Squirrelflight too that'd be even better!//
Ashfur would be a horrible mate don't get me wrong, abusive just as he is in the broken code. So Hollyleaf killing him could've been a bit more personal.

Age gaps between ADULTS, fine with me
