The exit

Don't leave me alone James, not yet...

James was sitting by the window. He wanted to cry but he couldn't. No, he was supposed to be the happy friend, he couldn't possibly have any problems... right. He wasn't able to let his mask down because any moment one of his dormmates or his boyfriend could walk in. He was the therapist friend who was always comforting everyone but he was never getting any comfort.
But at one moment, everyone breaks. And this moment wasn't far away for James. That evening, after spending the day with Regulus and his friends, he was standing at the top of the astronomy tower. He looked down and imagined how peaceful it would be if he could just let everyone and everything go and just fly.

He hesitated a second, but nothing was keeping him here anymore. And with that, he jumped. He fell and fell and fell... until his body hit the gras and everything went dark.

Regulus rushed out to see what had happened, he heard some hufflepuff girl screaming on his way for James. He wanted to talk to him because he saw that there was something wrong. He knew how James was always the comfort friend and that is why he needed to talk to him and for once, give him comfort because he would never ask for that himself.

When Regulus arrived at the astronomy tower where everyone had gathered, he pushed himself through the crowd. When he came at the foot of the tower, he saw James. But not the happy, cocky, funny James. No, the weak body on the grass, his elbow slightly dislocated and his knee in the wrong angle. Regulus fell to his knees, he didn't think he ever screamed that loud. " no no, please tell me this is one of your stupid pranks or some sick joke you're playing on me. I wouldn't fucking care but please wake up!!!" Regulus whispered. At that moment, madam Pomfrey rushed towards the two boys. "Please, please tell me you can save him." He said to her. But she took one look at the boy and said "I'm very sorry dear, but there is nothing i can do." Regulus broke down crying.

He saw how James chest still slightly moved up and down and he knew he hadn't lost him yet. He saw how james started to whisper, so soft even Regulus had to le an very closely and still he could barely understand what he was saying. "Darling, let me go please, i'm happy, and i'm finally at peace." After that, his chest stopped moving and his eyes closed. "Don't leave me alone James, not yet..."

Sirius came up behind Regulus, trying to stay strong, but tears were leaking out of his eyes. "Reggie..." But Regulus shook his head. He stood up and started running. Sirius did not know what he was planning to do, but he had a gut feeling he should go after him.

Right when he came upstairs in the astronomy tower, he saw Regulus standing in the window.

But before Regulus could jump, he felt arms wrapping around his waist and pulling him backwards. Sirius and Regulus both landed on the floor together, but made no motions of getting up. They just held eachother and cried, until Remus came picking them up and took them to the dorms

Sooooooo, i know you will probably hate me, but remember i kind of gave them a happy end... and they are together now so please don't pee in my nostrils.
