{Elliot's POV}
I was sitting in the middle of my math class when we were going over things for the test we're going to take on Friday when I started drifting off. I was so tired from studying the night before that I almost started to fall asleep. I took a sip of my "water", which is actually just coffee, from my reusable bottle to try and wake me up a bit. I was slowly waiting for the bell to ring while looking at the clock until my eyes somehow shifted to a guy in the front class, the guy I've liked since the first day of school, the guy who's laugh and smile makes my heart flutter,...

Jake Sterling.

He was just so perfect and, I wanted to talk with him more than I do now but,... he's way out of my league. Not to mention that his friends don't like me since I'm more nerdy than them. I was awoken from my staring by the bell ringing. "I want to tell him so badly."

{Jake's POV}
I noticed Elliot staring at me in math and also in history class. I wanted to ask him why but, Drew, Henry, and Liam would follow me so, I knew I couldn't. "I've been thinking about him a lot recently and, I'm curious on why and, I'm also curious on why Elliot keeps staring at me." I'm still confused on what to do about it all.

"Hey Jake." Drew said to grab my attention.

"Yeah?" I asked lightly smiling at him so that I seemed normal.

"That nerdy, freak is looking at you." Drew said pointing behind me.

I turned around only to see Elliot staring at me and then looking away when we made eye contact. He started speed-walking away. "Did I do something wrong?, Is he scared of me?, what's happening?"

"What was that about?" Liam asked while looking at me.

"I'm not sure." I said looking down at the floor.

"How about you go and find out?" Henry asked me.

"Like, alone?" I asked a little hopeful that I could go alone.

"I was thinking we could come with." Henry said smiling.

"Well, I wasn't thinking of going at all." I said a little upset at what Henry said while pulling folders and books out of my locker for health, social studies, english, and science.

"Oh, okay." Henry and Liam said before turning into a full on repeat of 'Jinx you owe me a soda'.

"I do want to talk to him but, not with them around to judge us." I thought to myself before we all walked away together to next period.

{Elliot's POV}
I waited for Jake and his friends to walk away from their lockers before going to Jake's and getting an idea for how to tell him how I feel. I took a piece of blank lined paper and started writing:

"I would like to meet you at the middle of the school's garden after school to tell you something important. Please come.

-anonymous"

I folded it up and slipped it into Jake's locker before speed-walking down the hallway to lunch. "I hope he comes." I continued walking to lunch and was going to go through the shortcut hallway but, I saw Jake and his friends.

I turned around and went down a different hallway to avoid them.

"Why did I think it was a good idea to ask him to meet me in the garden?! He's so much cooler and way out of my league!"
