"Nia? You Okay?" Lucas asks looking over at me while we are at a stoplight. "Yea. I... I think so."
"Nia... I can't tell you I know how you feel because I don't. But I can tell you that Noe is going to be okay. He'a strong. And I can't promise that he's going to be okay but I can say that he will get better. And Ronny is in custody."
I smile at Lucas and we make it back to my house with in 10 minutes. Getting out of the car I look down at my hands and realize there is still blood all over them. "Shit!" I say and Lucas is by my side in an instant.
"What?" He asks and looks at my hands "oh... Come on let's hurry up and get you cleaned up so we can go back to the hospital."
One in my room I look around not wanting to touch anything. "Fuck," Lucas mutters. "Nia, tell me were everything is ill get it for you."
I look at him and begin to point at we're my sweats t-shirts and socks are. Once that's he's gotten that he looks at me as if I've forgotten something.
"Nia? Bra, and panties?" He says softly a little uncomfortable. "Oh, right, um... That basket there..." I point to a large basket on the middle shelf in my closet.
Lucas led me to the restroom and turned on the shower for me after placing my clothes and towel on the counter.
"You okay from here?" He asks slowly. "Because as much as I'd like it I really don't want to have to undress you." I laugh and shake my head no.
"I think I'm very capable of undressing myself thank you very much. Now you can go. I'll be out in a few."
After Lucas leaves I undress and get into the hot shower. Instantly the blood from my hands starts to come off and swirl down the drain.
Ten minutes later I'm changed into a pair of Adidas sweats, a t-shirt and my brothers crew neck Dynes sweatshirt.
"Ready?" I ask Lucas when I see him sitting on the couch talking to Ray. "Yea lets go." He says getting up.
"Oh here it's my brothers but it should fit you. I figured you would be cold in just your wife beater."
Lucas smiles and takes the black Andrew Hill sweatshirt from me and pulls it over his head.
Thirty minutes later we are sitting in the waiting room of the hospital with my mom and Mariah. Slowly my eyes start to close. Lucas opens his arms to me and I lean into him as he wraps his arm around my shoulders I begin to drift into sleep.
"Family of.... Noe torres?" I hear a woman say and quickly sit up. "Here!" I say standing quickly and getting a bit dizzy.
"Nia! Be careful!" Lucas says placing his hands on my waist and stedding me. "Here," I say calmer.
"Oh alright, well I'm nurse Nancy I'll be looking after your brother during the night, and he's out of surgery now, there wasn't too much bleeding, the bullet was removed it hit no major organs.
He will make a full recovery. You can see him, he's asleep but you can go in." she smiles and motions for us to follow her to Noe's room.
Once there she smiles and leaves us. I look at the bed to see my brother laying on the bed with IV's in both his arms. My brother big brother looks so helpless on the hospital bed, with all the IV's and machines and the oxygen mask.
It's kinda scary. "Noe?" I say like it's going to help. "I'm sorry hermano. I wish I could change what happened." I say feeling a lump rise in my throat. I take one of his hands and squeeze it tightly.
"Nia, this isn't your fault mija. What happened was because that loco crazy boy was not in the right frame of mind." My mom says walking to the other side of the bed.
I feel Lucas wrap his arms around my waist and rest hid chin on my shoulders. "It going to be okay, he's going to wake up Nia I promise." He says soothingly.

That fucker better die! He took her from me! She's mine! My Mariah.
"State your name please?"
"Ronny,"
"Your full name."
"Ronny Clark"
"Age?"
"18"
"Well you will be tried as an adult now." The officer in front of me says as he does my finger prints me.
I'm going to jail. Fuck! I won't last there! I could have gotten away if it wast for those incessant fools that held onto me.
Damnit my mother is going to be pissed. I hate them I hate that asshole Noe and his skank of a sister too. I'll get them back! I will!
