I was about to go to my class when I saw Anisa.

I wanted to talk to her when Nate suddenly pulled me back.

"Don't.", he said calm.

"Nate, I really need to talk to her!"

"After everything she did to you? I really thought you were smarter than that Laska."

"Nate, I just feel so guilty."

"For being with me? I am not hers. And how is she supposed to know what happened yesterday?"

"But what if I won't have any friends anymore?"

"Then I'll be by your side. They really don't deserve you, Alaska."

I think I'm in love.

"Come on, Laska. Let's go to class."

"Fine.", I sighed.

After school I was getting ready for my date with Nate, while singing along to Taylors new album.

I decided to try something new and curled my hair.

"Best believe I'm still bejeweled when-"

I heard a knock on my door and stopped with my horrible singing.

"Come in!", I yelled.

The door opened and my mother came in.

I know I barely even mentioned her, because we don't really have the best mother - daughter relationship.

The most things I do are making her mad for no reason. She's always yelling at me and she puts so much pressure on me. I always try so hard, but sometimes I feel like she just doesn't love me.

"Hey, honey."

"Hi, mom."

"Are you going somewhere?"

"Yeah, I have a date."

"That brown - haired boy, huh?"

"Yep. Nate. That's his name."

"How come you never talk about him?"

"I do, you probably just never listen like you always do."

"Don't talk to me like that, Alaska!"

"Mom, please. Today is really important for me. I don't want you to ruin my day already. Could you please leave?"

"I only wanted to talk to you, but that shows again what a spoiled brat you really are!", she yelled.

"You're not going on that date!"

"What!?"

Is she being serious?

"You're staying here!"

"You can't just do that."

"Oh, I can and I will."

"You're horrible!", I screamed at her."

She left my room and tears started to form in my eyes.
